Version: Age of Kings 1.0
Number of scenarios: 10
This was my first campaign, and I was a little intimidated at first. After hours of trial and error, I feel like I made a decent campaign on the story of William Wallace.

The majority of the campaign lets the user sit back and relax as events happen. I tried to clue in the player as to when to watch and when to take control. I would appreciate any comments on that matter.

I incorperated AVI files from AOE, and reused sound files from AOE 2, to enhance the game. I think it worked. Again let me know what you think.

I downloaded bmp files from the internet, to further inhance the opening instructions.

I did not put in any history notes, since I have very limited knowledge in that area, but the campaign is very entertaining and flows well, in my opinion.

I used PKzip to compress the game. Just unzip and put the cpn file in the campaign dir in AOE 2.

I hope you enjoy the campaign! Happy Gaming!

Here is a list of Sound files from the AOE2 CD that need to be added to your Scenario sound files:
also add the avi files from AOE to the AOE2 dir. (optional)

I didnt feel it necessary to include these files in the zip. If I did it would have taken forever to uplpoad and download.

I hope this helps a little!

The Hyper Duck This was your first campaign?!

For your first try (or any try), this was an EXCELLENT
campaign. It was fun, interesting, has puzzles and makes
you sit in front of the comp for hours without getting up
to relieve yourself.

To everyone who thinks this sucks, I say :P.
I am thoroughly impressed, Mike, and I can't wait to see some
more campaigns by you here on the AOKH Blacksmith.

BTW, my name is Mike too. :)
tabaaha Yes good one but :
'sorry i'm french , (hard to explain in english):
If we do not follow the paths you made,we can loose the story, or finishing the scenario by another way.
If you see the standard AOK campaigns, you will see that they found some fine and subtils ways to avoid we leave the paths .
you should work on that, because the immersion in the game is not complete because you know that you cannot follow your own way to finish each scenerio. i hope you understand my poor english.
BTW, your campaign is pleasant to play
cosmic_creeper This is a great campaign and i think that mike did an exellent job on it, also i think anyone that gets this is going to be one happy camper.
laxkings there was 1 problem. at the scenario'e where you were supposed to die i couldn't get to the next level without using a cheat.
Dom This was a great campaign simple as that!!!!
A few bugs though: In the Scenarios where you are supposed to lose you can't continue without cheating. Minor issue though.
To anyone thinking of downloading it: Download NOW!!!!!!

This campaign was totally boring.

This was quite bad. In the scenario where you have to recruit soldiers, some of them don't even change ownership! And I found this campaign quite boring. Way too many cutscenes. I originally intended a score of 2 for this, but raised it to three because of the great use of sound.

Half of the time, the odds were even. Another half, the odds were either against me or with me. This pretty bad as I had to cheat to win. :(

Nothing creative about the scenario at all.

Map Design:
Nothing interesting. However, at least the terrain was balanced. :)

Bravo! Great story! Too bad this was the only good thing about the Campaign.

End result:
Do not download this campaign unless you are absolutely totally bored. Sorry Mike. Try to improve your work, okay? :)
romelegion GOOD!!!!
