Taking place shortly after the war of the last alliance, the return of sauron has you take control of many different factions attempting to sieze control of middle earth. But they are all being controlled by Sauron the Great, who is ever eager to return to mordor. Some factions will fall, and others will survive, but in the end only Sauron can rise to power again. Take part in events such as the fall of moria, and the kin-strife of gondor, and the rise of the witch king.
However, this campaign has to be broken apart into the campaign and an expansion, so this file isn't the whole story. |

It's not too bad considering and has plenty of potential. However, you ask the player to do too much in many of your scenarios. I made it only to scenario two (at least before I cheated to see the rest), where you have supplied the player with inadequate soldiers and upgrades, and while everyone has armour and weapon upgrades equivalent to that of a castle age player, the player begins only in dark age with overwhelming opposition. By the time I've reached the goblin king, I'm losing my troops from stronger and larger goblin soldiers and clearly with no hope whatsoever to knock down the Wonder with 5000 Hp plus with a handful of men. To make things worse, the player named 'Arnor' arrives behind me with dozens of powerful troops and my surviving men are dispatched in short order. There were other instances like this where you ask too much, for example in the scenario depicting Mirkwood whereby the player has to build a town centre, upgrade from dark age to imperial age and then build a few trebuchets before knocking down at least one hundred (aok) metres of forest to get to an Elven town. Correct me if I am wrong, but don't only siege onagers knock down forest and not trebuchets as you say in hints? In saying that, this is not a remarkably fun file to play, and you need to playtest this project more to make it balanced and fair toward the player. Keep at it, and you'll soon be churning out more designs, at an even greater, succinct quality. ;-)[Edited on 01/03/10 @ 04:08 AM]

You were asked to cut down 100 meters of forest with trebuchets? Pro. They cut down 1 tree at a time, and with terrible accuracy. (right click on each individual tree) |

Yes, I killed the Goblin King too. What I said was that there was no hope to destroy the wonder for reasons listed in the larger post above. ;-)
An update would be good. |

yeah. well, what happened when i tested it was that when i killed the goblin king and started attacking his wonder, after a while the goblin king resigned. i shouldn't have assumed that would always happen. |

In my opinion it's never a good thing to let a player resign in a player made map?
Yet to play this one will post another comment or a review when I have.. |
