First of four scenarios from campaign "Shaolin - Fighter of Honour".
I'm not from english speaking country, so the translation isn't probably perfect. On the other hand I assume it's fully understandable.
Now, what I ask you is to play this scenario and tell me what exactly should be rephrase.
Thanks. MW |

Nice map design and concept. Might be a little repetitious though, and some of the battles are too easy. For example with the quicksand level, I had no reason to use the quicksand to my advantage and all I had to fight was militias. Try upgrading the units here so that the player has to micromanage about a bit.
I moved the file from Single Player Projects to Single Player Scenarios.

Well, yes, but it's a first scenario, so it should be easy.
Quicksand - Ok, I guess I could spice it up a little bit. Thanks.
I didn't put it in SPS, 'cause it's not finished yet. Plus it's just one part of campaing. |

You mean this single scenario is not finished? It seemed like a finished project when I was playing through it. Projects with unfinished stories do not go into Single Player Projects, that category belongs to maps that are (for example) only triggered 75% through, with no victory condition etc. |

Well, it's not final version, but yes, it is finished. It would take some time before I complete the whole campaign (The fourth scenario 30% - 1k triggers yet), so God knows how a how many times I'll change it again. |

Playability: 3
The Playability was rather fun to play, i find the quicksand the funnest as i got to lure them into it without fighting, although the walking was a bit too much for my liking
so i gave you a 3
Balance: 3
The balance was rather good although i had to try a couple of times before i could beat the quicksand, the one where you had to kill 3 of the right men to go to the next level was a bit hard cause i couldnt find any hints to beat it
so i gave you a 3
Creativity: 4
The Creativity was rather cool i mean what you did with the triggers: Boat transport and quicksand, I had seen somethings that i saw before, and i thought the boat thing was rather impressive because the first time i tried i couldn't get it to work right (in my scenario) so i gave you a 4
Map Design: 3
i thought the map design was a little average, but what you did with the builidngs at the start, it actually looked like a chinese village (the wonder was a bit much though)
so i gave you a 3
Story/Instructions: 3
The story was rather on track, so was the instructions, but i couldn't find the monk at the start, on my first try, even though it was viewable by the minimap, i mean the instructions were readable and the objectives clear, but you didn't have enough info, i mean: head over to the monk so he can bless you, its understandable but if you gave some instruction like north south east and west it would have been easier for me
Additional Comments:
I think you have real potential to create work that is really good, you could create something as good as some of the 5 star games, you just need to add more eyecandy, make the roads a bit off track a bit (the straight road heading out of the starting city was a bit dull) work a little more on the triggers (only a little more, there pretty good how they are at the moment) and make the objectives a bit clearer if you can
in other words i think you did rather well, you could become a big name at AoKH |
