The game play was bland to say the least. I found very little enjoyment in it. It also did not last very long, the weakest point of your scenario by a mile. In the future, make the game longer and use more triggers to get a smoother game. I also won the game before I visited the Persian leader because I had killed all my enemies.
The game was quite easy, because of the slow resource gain and because of my inherent laziness, I couldn't be bothered building anymore then I began with giving my very few extra troops, it required some tactics, mostly involving hit and run but that was about it.
The beat the crap out of the enemy leader had been done before SO many times its the cliche of cliches. You didn't use many useful AI's either (or none at all) so that didn't help much.
Map Design: 2
The map consisted of around 80% plain, boring forest, the rest was dominated by road and grass, there was SOME stuff in there that was nice on the eyes but it was HORRIBLY out weighed by plain, boring stuff.
There was no real story so I have to deduct marks here, however the instructions you gave were sound and (in the case of the Persian leader) pointless.
If this was a first try, it was decent, definitely better then what I was making anyways. Keep it up and you'll get better, practice makes perfect.
