A great, and fear inspiring battle rages between the forces of "Good and Evil", then suddenly a hush falls upon the battleground. Lord Dantares, pulls his sword out of the cold black heart of Sabato the witch, and watches as she slowly drops to the ground. It is done. King Harrold, still gripped with fear over the ordeal and the possibility of her returning from the afterlife, orders the body burned, but her essence, he has sealed up and placed in a special orb, which is then buried. For ten years, all is well throughout the land, until a group of miners mistakenly start digging up the wrong site. What they are about to unleash, will make the very mountains cry out in agony.
Before you down load this campaign I suggest you play my other game in this series, Sabato the Witch. I.D. 1006.http://aok.heavengames.com/blacksmith/showfile.php?fileid=1006 It’s not necessary, but will help with the story and increase your enjoyment of this campaign and it scored well in the reviews, so it is worth playing.
When I made Sabato Returns my intention was to give everyone something they will enjoy playing. This was achieved by giving you the choice of game style. There are 3 “routes” you can choose from while playing. The first two are for those who like to play as the “GOOD” guy. These are referred to as “Good though Hayfield” (Fixed force) and “Good though Highochre” (Build and Destroy). The third choice is for those who like to play as the bad guy, this is referred to as “EVIL” (RPG). So you can see there are 3 styles of game play, with 3 completely different games, following a similar story in each. And all this takes place on one map! So I’m sure you will find your favorite route, it’s already a big debate amongst those who tested it. Please note, this campaign is a single scenario with 3 games and has no historical references, so if you are looking for that remake of a historical battle you wont find it here. There are many things hidden in each game, these are extra’s and not important to the game, but they all help making it more enjoyable, so for those who like exploring have fun! Many of the different tasks in the game have different solutions and random events, these all make the game play slightly different every time you play it. So if you manage to avoid a battle or a bridge crashes in to the water it’s ok. I wanted these things to happen and it’s not a loophole. In fact I have purposely left only one loophole in, can you save 5 cavaliers from the beginning? It is possible! I have spend somewhere in the region of 500 hours making and testing this campaign, with magic spells the player can use, food systems for the evil game, many heroes to find, some very interesting effects, anti cheat triggers and a racecourse you can bet on! I hope you will find something you like. A full walk through (Sabato Returns Hints.doc) and sound files are included with the down load. So if you get stuck read the walk through before complaining or giving up! And a warning to those who like a challenge, Highochre route on hard is very hard!
Thanks to all who helped test Sabato Returns, you guys really made a difference. And thanks to my wife for putting up with me sitting at the computer day after day.
Enjoy.

I had a thought last night, I have a Utility out, the 0 Max HP Trick, you could use that for Dark Dantares, it would be a better way of Controlling him, he has a set amount of HP and he gets his HP restored when he goes to Sabato, it would also mean that he wouldn't be healed by monks.
If you don't want to use it in this Fine, but can you use this in Your Next one? |

Absolutely excellent!perhaps one of the best and neatly designed campaigns of AOK (even much better than the already stored there). The triggers are absolutely fantastic and every decision results from a great thought process. But I would say that the previous one "Sabato the witch" was not upto this mark. Now I can only ask for more....please. |

Very funny map, I like playing the good side. The Evil side is hard. GOOD MAP! |

It'll be useless to repeat what was already said. But this is such an awesome campaign it deserves some reconition.
I played first as Dark Dantares and could almost hear Sabato talking to me! The storyline was absurd at first, then, the fog cleared and I slapped my self for not seeing the use for the elephant earlier! I also loved the peanut theme. Strange all the same...
The second time I played Fizban Hayfield and then Fizban Highocre. I found it a bit tough to break the forces at Sabatos base, then I last everyone but Dantares II. But, it was fun all the same.
I agree with all the things stated before this and I give it a solid 5! |

I've only played this once (on dark side). I noticed 2 bugs when i played, both for dark side of course.
1) At the beginning, after you pick dark side, sabato comes and destroys part of the city (where she stays after that). Well Dantares starts where she destroys it. If you dont move she kills you too. You should make him start somewhere else in the city, where he doesnt die.
2) I was at the part where you go to the city and sabato is gone. Then i left to the east and saw some villagers. So I changed stance with her to enemy and killed the villagers. Then i came back by the gate and got shot my a bombard tower. After it shot it me it said "You Are Victorious!"
Apart from those 2 bugs i seem to like it =). Also when is the next Sabato scenario coming out? I think you should make many more, or a new storyline with a similar gameplay. I also look forward to playing the two good sides. I also thought the circus was hard though. I brought the elephant back and when i went to poison the water they all attacked me. I tried like 50 times but couldnt win. I just had to time it so that he wouldnt see me then run. Also i looked everywhere but couldnt find bright mans circle. Guess ill have to look at the hints doc =(. Anyway please tell us when the last one comes out!
Thanks,

Thanks for your comments, I'm unsure what you mean about "Sabato comes and destroys part of the city" if you mean the part where Sabato destroys the church is part of the story, try replaying, taking note of what is said and you'll see why she does this. I would also like to point out that changing diplomacy gives you a warning message, which you must have missed, and this is why the game ended. |

1) You mean the warning where she gives you 20 seconds to change back? I changed after she went to get lifeforce to kill me and it didnt warn me. The towers just attacked me.
Anyway sorry about so many comments =). I'm still wondering when the next is coming out =. It wasnt out in december, but it will probably be worth the wait =þ.
Once Again,

Also might i suggest that when you make the last one, put all the scenarios into one. As it is a CAMPAIGN not a single scenario ~_^.
