Balanced: "Separate but Equal" takes on a whole new meaning in this scenario:
- HEAVILY Fortified City
- Stockpiles of Resources
- No Town Center
- No Villagers
- Wins by Standard Conquest Rules
- Loses if Castle is Destroyed
- Small, Secluded Outpost
- Possesses Villagers (i.e. can expand)
- Steady Supply of Resources (i.e. receives regular tributes from "GAIA")
- Wins by Destroying P1's Castle
- Loses by Standard Conquest Rules
What's interesting about this scenario is the time-element... The sooner the action climaxes, the more likely that Player-One will win; while a longer game lends itself more to Player-Two, as they will have had time to substantially grow and amass resources.
From personal experience, when things climax it really is a toss-up; it could go either way, it all comes down to your strategy, reaction-time, and maybe a little luck as well.
Myself and a friend of mine tested this scenario a while back and had so much fun, we decided we really ought to share it with everyone.
I would be happy to inform you of the flaw in your logic: You haven't played the scenario.
Try it out, THEN comment - simple concept.

You talk as if I'm retarded. Simple concept? Think about the logic in what I had to say.
Let's say a lion is fighting a hyena. By the time the lion reaches the hyena, the hyena massed up a huge pack.
-Alright, let's play this out and see what happens...
We all have different playstyles and it is clear that we don't agree in this situation.
I'm wondering how experienced you are with aoe because I am certain that an experienced person would say the same.

Dtrungle, I really do appreciate your opinions (even when it may appear that I don't), but I'm counting three personal attacks on your part in this discussion.
As you have already stated, we all have different play styles. Please don't assume that Tihocan is inexperienced (and/or a "moron") simply because he/she contends that Player 1 can win in this scenario, perhaps he/she utilizes a strategy you weren't aware of/ hadn't tried yet? Or perhaps he/she is aware of other factors in the scenario that you weren't aware of?
I'm giving benefit of the doubt to Tihocan, PLUS from personal experience I can also attest that Player 1 can win this scenario. It requires a little thinking outside the box on P1's part, but hey, that's what this scenario is about.

Thank you, Aryon. And I really don't mean to come across as demeaning by the way, Dtrungle. As to your question concerning my experience, I would fancy myself fairly experienced, having been playing almost since the release in '99 (not continuously, of course). Although I am still somewhat new to The Conqueror's expansion, I concede.
