Minute and Minuscule Map utility

Author File Description
Watson
File Details
Version: The Conquerors
~- Minute and Minuscule Maps -~

This file includes scenarios with the sizes 5x5 ( The smallest mapsize possible), 6x6 and so on to 10x10.

Personally I don't think these scenarios can be of very much use, but go ahead, and be super-creative if you can.

Credits:
David Tombs (aka DiGiT) for creating AoKTS

Lord Basse, for it was only after his publishing of his map-pack that I had the idea in mind, to make an opposite one.

Update: Added 15x15 and 17x17 maps as well.

Minute and Miniscule Map Sizes is a utility by Watson, known in the forums as The Unconvincing Spook, which includes many Custom map sizes for AOK scaling from the tiniest 5x5 map size yup to an equally small 17x17 size.

This utility isn’t particularly original, the last time I saw a utility that created minute sized maps was back in 2008 and that only included sizes from 6x6 to 9x9. Watson’s file includes sizes from 5x5 to 17x17. Equally Lord Basse created a file in 2007 but that was not for minute map sizes but for sizes spanning from 15x15 to 100x100. This file also shows the power of the custom size scenario to the newer members of AOKH who don’t know about the later files created back in 2008/2007.

Mini Scenarios are funny scenarios because they can be useful and useless at the same time. The most famous mini scenario in the Blacksmith is probably My Fort, My Empire by Lord Basse which is built on a 15x15 map. I haven’t really seen anything built on a map smaller than that. There just isn’t enough space. However these map sizes are great for creating screenshots for things like the Continuous Screenshot Competition in the Scenario & Design Forum. These small scenario can create very funny screenshots and if someone is daring they could probably make a farely decent Arcade scenario if they use the correct triggers.

Additional Comments:
Overall I think that this utility is great. It works perfectly and gives you some fantastic little sizes to play with. Although not too original it can be used to create some fantastic arcade games and screenshots.

Well Done Watson
