This water map has the same amount of resources as normal, but they're extremely close to where you start allowing for faster aging up and upgrades but no 5 hour epics. Be carefull when building, what and where your buildings are could make all the difference. There are four possible starting positions: Tazmania, Inrercargill, Christchurch, and the North Island. The standard AI plays fine on this map. This file contains:
NZ Blank- A blank template of New Zealand with accurate shoreline although I had to warp Tazmania over to give a little more land area.
NZ Fixed- Just like the above map but with resources, semi-accurate terrain, and 4 players in fixed positions.
NZ Dynamic- Just like the above map but with a trigger feature (containing about 130 effects) that lets you choose where to be placed and I added the Maoris (indeginous peoples to NZ).
It's quite nice, but I feel you could have utilised the massive amount of ocean better; like making New Zealand larger. The land seems too cramped and 'messy' for proper random map game play. Overall, nice try.

@Mashek Thanks, I appreciate the feedback, I tried to make it larger but it would be out of proportion, I'm thinking about rotating it to get the most out of it. The best way to play it is to play with 1-3 players (changed in player's section of the editor) and play like that though it can hold 4 (5 with Maori). Did the Naval aspect work well? I couldn't test that myself. Anyway, thanks again for the feedback!
EDIT: Working on a version 2.0 with more land but will cut off Invercargill, Tazmania, and probably Auckland but be able to hold the full 7-8 players.
