This was their downfall, although they could not see it coming. Word of the Kaspians great wealth and treasures reached far around the world. Eventually word came to King Rungar of Varia in the far north. The Varians lived a hard life and were a warlike by nature. Seeing opportunity King Rungar sailed his army south down the great river and launched a suprise attack on the ill-prepared Kaspians.
Many of the Kaspians fled, even the King, before this mighty foreign army. Although his son, Prince Dario, did not...
Dario now leads the resistance along with his loyal retainer Captain Lino. Together they hope to drive the Varians out of their home and take responsibility for what the King left behind.

This is a well-designed scenario, and the game play promises to be fun and perhaps even challenging. I'll certainly play this soon when time permits. |

I'm really liking it so far. I'll try to get a review up in the next day or so if I can. |

Wow I didn't expect it to get that high of a score! Thanks for the review Sarn, it was nice of you to take the time.
I'm currently working on my Beowulf scenario for the Myth, Legend and History contest in the forums. After that I'm planning to do a prequel to develop the characters and I've got ideas for a sequel but I don't want to get ahead of myself lol.
This scenario was going to have more features like difficulty levels and a soundtrack but I kept getting loads of crashes so I just released it as it is, I'm really impatient. >_> |

Very fun scenario. I played it twice, on standard and hardest difficulty. At first, I was a bit distracted and didn't really get into it but my second playthrough was more enjoyable and it was harder.
My - thoughts:
-During the actual gameplay, the story doesn't develop any further. There are areas with dialogues but they were quest related.
-I don't quite understand why you have those two villagers out in the woods with the sheep.
-Add some dialogues when you obtain the gaia units as it seems odd without it.
-What's up with the dock near the Accursed Tower?
-What's up with the treb at the very top?
-One bad thing about B&D is that the player can just camp with towers and amass a huge amount of food/wood and constantly spam trash units to eventually win the game. Though you'd have to still be a tad strategic with the attacks.
My + thoughts:
-Good details about the scenario within all the tabs.
-Map design was great. It suited the game very well aside from the haystacks mentioned by Sarn.
-How the quest changes depending on which Hero meets the person was a splendid idea. |

Thanks for the feedback Dtrungle you make some very good points.
Maybe it would be a good idea to get some testers for my next scenario |

Yeah, testers are always a great idea.
What you could do, regarding DTrungle's camping comment is put some sort of timer on actions. You could either make it so that you lose if you don't make it in time or something bad happens (huge reinforcements or something). That would prevents players from just being able to camp. Might be something to consider if the sequel is B&D. |

ah, the rating is too high!
does it really deserve that?
personally, the ratings recently are much higher than before, but the quilities seem not growing with the ratings.
i expect to get an explaination.
forgive my rudeness. |

Hawk_KK - the best place to discuss ratings would be in the AoKH Review Requests, about Reviewing and Tutorials III thread:
