The Campaign covers the major battles of the 1st Punic War and the beginning of the 2cd Punic War. In this one of four campaigns you will play the part of several Carthage Commanders through 8 scenarios. These are fixed force battles that attempt to recreate the challenges faced in the actual battles on land and sea.
Note: Some Battles are CPU intensive and may play slowly on older machines.
The Campaign was fun, but all the FF got really old really fast. 8 campaigns with nothing to do but to send groups into battle. You would always won, there was not a single point in time playing that campaign that I thought I would lose. There were points in time were I would have idel units that have won a battle, but also units that are waiting to be sent into battle for the first time.

I enjoyed these scenarios. They are simple and interesting. Richard does create the sence of ancient battles with hundreds and sometimes thousands of men hacking away into the enemy ranks. Despite the lag, it is historically accurate and succeeds in making the Punic Wars a playable campaign.
