This giant sized map of Southern Eurasia, Northern Africa and the Middle East sets Turkey right in the middle of a blood bath for up to 8 players.

Players will feel as though they're traversing across a nicely changing landscape, complete with all the geographical trimmings.

So if You're the type that likes real world maps, Give This map of Anatolia a try. It includes the classic, Death-match, and Nomad versions. Thanks

I took the advice of one of the staff here and redid the forests making sure players had enough initial room to build, yet still had plenty of wood. I also added more fish to the maps upon request of 1 player.

Nice map. It is close to being perfectly accurate. The only downside is that the forests could potentially cramp a player.

This scenario is intended to be played as a real world map, but I moved it here as it is a scenario file. I may move it back to the random maps category.

thanks for the comments. Very sorry about the multiposts. As for the forests, yes, I found it challenging to provide enough trees to start out each player while preserving a natural look. I attempted to make the game slightly imbalanced, giving slight advantages in space, trees, stone, or cliff protection to different locations. Some players have complained that there weren't enough trees in the desert areas, but those same players often dominated the game, so I feel it is well balanced enough for average players. Another comments I got was that there wasnt enough fish for the map to be popular. The resources are based on a standard game layout, I notice many popular world maps have large groups of marlin, sometimes jumping in unison like a fountain of fish. Others like the resource layout, and ANY feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks for bearing with my post mistakes. I enjoyed making the map and look foreward to my next project.

The maps have been updated in an attempt to fix the cramped forests, and low fish. They should be better now.

The western part of Asia, the Sahara Desert, Greece and a small piece of Sicily take place in this multiplayer map, named "Anatolia". The map is extensive, pleasuring the eye and detailing the scenery.

Playability: 5
I've played the map by all of the 8 sides; none disappointed me. Distances were becoming tiring in some occasions, but anyone playing this map must expect to face this problem... I could collect resources, advance and make army or/and navy, been disturbed by noone for long time. Except these, the desire merely to play cleverly and beat the opponents is vanished here-you want to play simple and the way you like. This fascinating feeling can be found at limited-in-number maps and "Anatolia" proves to be such one. Even losing can not affect the enjoyment you have here!

Balance: 5
The map is designed in a way that all players have approximately the same chances of winning; little-only varying resources' abundance, quite enough relics scattered around the map, easy access to the open sea (an exception to the Cyan, been deeper inside the Asia, but has a river some meters away). No land is separated from others (except, of course, the islands), freeing the players' hands and not cutting the gameplay down.
In general, very few will face any problem related to balance.

Creativity: 3
The presence of different climates and the almost accurate representation of the north-mid East give a unique aesthetics to the game. The map is big, widening the opportunity to explore and choose from a variety of tactics, in order to survive. If possible, this map must be added to the list of the AoE2 initial "Real World Maps". It means, it's playable and good, but there is little innovation and special addings, offering something fresh and interesting to its kind.

Map Design: 5
All climates bear few, if any, similarities with each other. You have meticulously chosen each climate's characteristics and greatly manipulated it! Pine trees and snow to North, Mediterranean climate in Greece and the northern part of Africa, wastelands and tropical trees inside the Asia and Egypt. Cliffs well represent mountainous places (like Pindus in Greece) and there's good terrain usage. I'm not sure if there's such jungle near India, but it looks pretty. The sea and rivers are appropriately desinged, as well. Not to forget the elevations been at wastelands-the environment seems realistic in that way. Plants could make some difference at some places, though.
Nothing else to say here.

Story/Instructions: 3
The theme and style of the map is oblivious, reducing the need of further instructions and hints. However, some guidance or information about the map fit the case, so that it entertains; plus, it can raise marks for its consistency and quality.

Additional comments:
"Anatolia" is a map everyone should add to their collection,as it's quite a masterpiece of its kind. Shorter and somewhat similar would also be nice-keep the good work!
