These 44 sounds are all made from standard dialogue from the Age of Empires II campaigns. The files here have simply been taken out of their context and made into separate files, so that they are a lot more useful for making custom scenarios.
Many of these were originally uploaded back in 2006, but were taken down after I updated the file with sounds from other games. That mistake will not be repeated. :P
Also, I can't quite remember what the "LBD" label on all the files stands for... Lord Basse Dialogue, maybe? Or something along those lines.

"Atmospheric immersion by the use of ambient noise, soundtracks, and voice acted dialogue is becoming more important than ever. Nowadays the great scenarios have multiple of these elements present, and the standards are rising here for authors to set the stage nicely." -A Younger Cata From Several Months Ago
Despite being in 2017, the novelty of a sound pack remains fairly high. There is precious little in the way of this materiel available on the blacksmith so this pack stands out for its selection of high quality voicelines, most of which cut out of ES voice acting materiel to become more usable on their own. Which leads to an examination of their usefulness, which is fairly good;many of the lines can be used in a variety of situations to add a little audio zest to a noteworthy point in a conversion between NPCs or when the player is receiving instructions from a scout unit.
Hopefully in the future we see more good voice acting materiel and also ambient noise compilations available on the blacksmith. For now, the file seems useful and novel so therefore receives a high score.
