"Roborapters Land" was a contestant in the 2011 Pretty Town Contest, delivering a large fortified city with a variety of surrounding areas with forests, rivers, and some secondary villages. The map delivered a fairly large mapping effort but unfortunately the level of detailing was quite low, with most or all areas on random map quality with no discernible strong points of well detailed areas. The forests are solid, continuous blocks with some flower patches placed underneath, with large grasslands with no terrain mixing. The roads show a hint of effort with occasional mixing of road types but it conveys a very simplistic appearance. There has been a number of gaia objects invoked at certain areas, but its often rocks left standing on their own, and these gaia objects lack in aesthetic appeal and their textures are of too poor a fidelity to be placed on their own in the open;they require proper support from both other gaia objects and the terrain and should be used with some care.
Moving on to the towns the placement of buildings is varied and is never subject to accusations of symmetrical grid placement, however it seems quite haphazard and random. The central cities terrain entirely consists of pure road1 with grass1 with nothing else, and though there is some elevation usage it also seems purposeless. In the center of the city is a fortress mixed in with a natural forest that is looking quite out of place;perhaps a carefully groomed garden area would make more sense here. In both this city and the surrounding villages there is a populace of villagers but they are standing still with no dialogue;some triggers to move them back and fourth would have been an improvement. The world presented feels lifeless with no interactions;usage of sound effects would also be a way to breath some life into various scenes.
