Hi, and welcome to my Battle of Ichi-no-Tani scenario for AOE 2.
Firstly, thank you for downloading my scenario, I hope you have much
fun playing it!

This is a very simple scenario in which you will play as the Minamoto
clan to destroy the last Taira stronghold in Japan: Ichi-no-Tani.
This battle is very doable, as the only real defence the Taira have
is their walls and towers. They don't have that much troops and are
slow to build more. You have a pretty large army and will be capable
of producing some more too. (Check the "Hints" tab) Anyway, this is
just a little scenario to pass your afternoon with ;-)
I hope you guys like it and have fun!


HOW TO INSTALL:

1. Unpack the .scn file unto your desktop.
2. Copy the .scn file into your ...\AOE2\Scenario map.
3. Start the game and the scenario should be in your custom scenario
menu.
4. Play the battle!

(Make sure that the unpacked and copied file ends with .scn!!!)

Playability: This scenario was very boring. Just a fast created fixed force battle, where you have to conquer the enemy city. There isn´t much to say here, it looks very much like one of the offical campaign scenarios of Age of Empires one. 2


Balance: You had 4 huge forces of samurais, chokonus, horse archers and siege units (no trebutchets). The enemy had a big fortress with some towers and walls. All units were scattered around in the town, so my massive army could easily own them. There were some random war ships on the water part, but they were useless, cause the player had no ships of his own. 1


Creativity: From eight trigges isn´t much to be expected. There were some gaia buildings around the map, some dialoges and a hero that needed to survive. Thats not new. 2


Map Design: Pure grass 1, no elevation, some water, forest and a lot of cliffs. The enemy city featured some road, at least, and there were some small path's through the cliffs and the forests. 2


Story/Instructions: Few dialoges, a small story written up, and a few hints. The story itself was pretty orginal, but to bad the triggers were not signified as objectives, these were written up manually. 2


Additional Comments: I was disappointed of this map. It needs a lot more improvement. To get some helps for better scenarios, look up the universities and search the forums.

A good idea, but to weak for the recommended download.
