Hi Keisari, I have feedback for you. We recommend that the graphics in the Commands section of each civ. grapgics can determine its own, like the Aztecs Monk proceeding Graphics, where the graphics may differ from other tribes.

Unfortunately I cannot help you, since the command section is separate from units in AoE 2 and SWGB. There is only 1 command for all civilizations. Aztec monk graphics are hardcoded into the game executable. |

I have been unable to get the Advanced Genie Editor to work. I continually get a Runtime error.
My game is installed here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Age2HD
Is that the Custom Path Override?
My compressed Data File is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Age2HD\Data\empires2_x1_p1.dat
I do not seem to have language paths. I'm assuming Genie Version is Age of Empires.
Drive Letter:C
Windows (files) to open: I have no idea what this means. But, the default is 2.
This has been quite frustrating. Any assistance would be appreciated.

You don't need custom path override.
Put C as your drive letter, then press "AoK HD defaults" and "OK". That should do it. Language dll files were converted to txt files in HD edition. So you will not be able to use them... for now.
If you want to copy things from a dat file to another, you need to have 2+ windows open. |

Hey all. First of all thanks for your awesome work with this stuff.
For a long time I've been wondering if with this editor or another tool you are able to have a civilization to have many unique units and technologies.
For example, I pick persians, and with some kind of editing I can train war elefants, teutonic soldier, cataphract.... SIMULTANEOUSLY and research sinkichon, logistic, cavalry volunteers...
THANKS. |

Yes you can do that with this editor.
Search the desired technologies from researches tab. You can edit their civilization attribute to determine what civilizations can have them. If button attribute overlaps with other researches, only one of them will be shown in the game. So you need to make them be on different buttons in-game.
Hopefully this info will get you started. |

Ok im figuring aout how to use the editor. I tried editing onager attack to 90. In game then appears me 90-15.
For the civilizations, i mean, i want to create a civ called Romania. This civ will be able to have a full tech tree and the ability to train and research all unique units and technologioes. In the civ menu how can I do that?.
Also I would want to make new units in ROR. I know how to create them but there are tons of values which i cant figure out how to use or which numbers.
Thanks. You're a master[Edited on 07/06/14 @ 01:48 PM]

If you want a new civilization you will need to look up UserPatch. I think you should copy similar research and make a new technology for it. In that new technology, you should add effects 101 and 103 that set the cost and time of the unique researches to 0 and also maybe you should enable them for your civilization with 102 attribute. You may need to make duplicates of the unique researches/technologies for your own civilization. If you use only one button for all the researches (one research that launches them all), then you don't need to mess around with individual button settings.
Always when you add something, you should copy similar item over the new one and start editing then or just look at similar items for what values your new item should have for values that you are not interested in. |

I think it's better to edit civilizations. So I will modify one in order to have it to be able to train all unique units and research all unique technologies.
By the way, how would you create this units. With a number assigned, or they would appear in the building in order to create them??[Edited on 07/10/14 @ 05:39 AM]
