Advanced Genie Editor
for Age of Empires, Rise of Rome (including DE), Age of Kings, The Conquerors (including DE), Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds and Clone Campaigns.
This is a program for editing data of genie (DAT and DLL) files. It can edit properties of units, civilizations, technologies, graphics, terrains, sounds, player colors and some other things.
Please, ask questions on the forums.
Check out this program also. It's for graphical modding.

Notes
Make your own backups or use the auto-backup feature!
Extract to anywhere and run. No help files are included.
You may need to run the program as administrator if your game is installed in a protected folder.
You may be able to undo changes by going back to the text box and pressing Ctrl + Z.
Tips
You can have multiple search entries separated with "|" letter.
Upper search boxes are inclusive and lower ones exclusive.
Example: "tower|ship|ram"
Use the check boxes to toggle matching between all and any entries.

Not sure what you mean. Replication amount creates waves after ships and whatever you choose as graphics. |

@Keisari Tapsa I reckon you must be tired of answering questions about using AGE with the forgotten but i really wanted to edit some stuff and would appreciate if you told me how to do it.
I've seen some replies you made to other posts about this but they weren't that clear, for me at least. so if you could explain it to me how to edit The Forgotten data with AGE through something of the sorts of "go here and do this, go there and do that", that would help :) |

With the latest release, you can click on AoK HD defaults and then change the x1_p1.dat into x2_p1.dat and you can use file browser to select the txt file in the first language file entry. Are you using Steam? |

@Keisari Tapsa When i file browse for the language file i cant find it because its a txt file and the explorer only looks for .dll files. |

No need ;) i got it. The only problem that seems to bother me is the fact that when i make a new unit with the copy paste method. For example: I copy El Cid's data and paste it to a new unit. I change the icon and the all the graphics of the unit (I'm sure i change all the graphics) and when i go to the editor everything is fine except for the icon, which in this case would be that long bearded guy, no matter what i choose. the same applies to the unit graphics as i once copied a conquistadors data and made all the data the same as a champion and the unit was still a conquistador with a conquistador icon.
Thats really annoying since the only way to bypass this issue is when I'm creating a new unit i have to copy all the data values manually. |

I made automatic copying of unit values to all civilizations not include graphics by default, because people released mods where they accidentally changed graphics for all civs when they intended to change only one civ graphics.
Click on "including graphic" at the top of the units tab. |
