This package includes all the AOK and TC sounds, free to share and use. The purpose is great, but the files are not so useful as someone might expect.
There is a vast variety of sounds covering the entire game. All of them preserve the beauty and possibilities of it at high levels, but not of them are meant to be useful tools for new maps; The most interesting and flexible ones to use are those or buildings' devastation, the animals' voices, some water effects and a person's steps.
The highest percent of files are too short or difficult to be used appropriately, except the cases where tiny details are needed to enhance a game's aesthetics. Those may be some people's words, the monks' voices...maybe the clanks of swords or arrows been thrown... There are more than these, but are so weird to be of any good use.
All the files are been extracted with no loss in quality and length (the latter would not be that noticeable, though). Nonetheless, they are not named, messing up things; If named, they would be better organized and, in addition, everyone would know what each sound is about. It's not nice hearing all of them to find only 1-2 specific ones!
You did great trying to share these unique game's sounds. The main idea was to provide a big amount of special sounds, but quality is better than quantity at most cases.
There's no need to rely on short, non-effective stuff; there is much more that can be included in somebody's work and make wonders. ;)
