This AI is NOT my creation, its Kurn's creation
From what I know, Kurn is no longer an active scripter but this AI is probably the best Xbow rushing AI Created to date.

It is stronger as Mayans but will also play as Britons

Enjoy this incredible script!

If you were not impressed with it the first time you downloaded it, download it again, it has changed (The other one was older I think) Marathon spotted something wrong with the first one.

alekshs Has Kirn uploaded this AI file (or maybe other files)? If yes,why did you reuploaded it?
Campidoctoris This AI wasn't in the Blacksmith until now. UnfairestEel heard about this in the aiscripters forum and we told him in which old pack of AIs (the ones which participated in a AI tournament a few years ago). UnfairestEel liked this a lot, with very good reasons, and he decided to upload it here to make this almost unknown AI popular.

StrongBow only trains tons of archers. Well, also a few monks for relics and a few rams to finish the work. It's a really huge mass of archers.

@UnfairestEel. You have been honest and mentioned the author in your first post in this thread. But you have forgotten do the same in the "Short Description" to make that people know him even without enter here. You still can correct it "updating" this AI ;)

alekshs, It wasn't already uploaded at AOKH and Kirn isn't around to upload it but an AI this good should be made available to all AOE II players, so I did the honours and uploaded it.
Everything that Campidoctoris has said is correct.

I know one way of making this classic more efficient:
By setting sn-relic-return-distance to 255
It's currently set to 10

zergs First of all the author is Kurn, not Kirn!

I don't think that relic-return-distance has any effect.

If you want to make it stronger, you'll need to make it create big attack groups, that were scattered if an enemy is sighted, similar to what IS Machine does.
And I think changing its behavior to hit and run when the enemy has neither eagles nor cavalry is also an improvement.

My mistake!

I will change it to Kurn right now...

I didn't want to completely change the script, I was just thinking of an obvious error that can be easily fixed.

Although making it stronger for UP could be an idea (though I'm no expert with UserPatch scripting)

The Ruler I don't think that you have the right to upload stuff which is not yours without permission of the owner

That is possible...
But I do not think that it hurts to upload something that is by an inactive author as long as I give the Author credit.
I hope and think that Kurn wouldn't mind me uploading his AI.

And it is such a good AI yet it is not a very well-known AI

The Ruler, it is acceptable to post another's file with full credits as UnfairestEel has done, especially since the original author is inactive. How else will the Blacksmith community be able to enjoy this AI?

This AI executes an xbow rush. It is stubborn, it does nothing but xbows. Can you kill it with knights? Don't bet on it.

It plays only Mayans. Its Britons have some problems. It is able to play Arabia and other similar maps, also Regicide (I think). It can play at lower pop caps, but I haven't tested it.

It won't train more than 50 villagers. It will react to enemy castles with rams and, later, trebuchets. It will slowly try to collect relics. It trains no trade carts or other soldiers, except from a lonely eagle for exploring.

The map has to have gold, the more the better. Also forage, so no Scandinavia. No water support. It consumes quite some wood and gold for all those archers.

It is expected to arrive in Feudal at 13:xx, and in castle in 19:xx. It shall attack at around 21' with 20 xbows with bodkin arrow. When it is tributed by an ally, it may reach 100 xbows by 27'(!), while on its own it usually hits 100 population at 28'.

Due to its exclusive use of the TSA attack system, it may occasionally fail to attack on maps with large central obstacles, like Black Forest, Mediterranean or Oasis. This is common with all TSA AIs.

It doesn't cheat.


Additional Comments:

Since it only plays 1-2 civs, and certain conditions, it deserves no more than 4, in my opinion. This is my first attempt to rate something in Blacksmith, simply because I consider this AI a must-have, despite the fact that it plays only Mayans (and Britons to an extent). Its hordes of archers are very impressive in action.
