This was supposed to be my entry for AoKH Cinematic Scenario Contest 2010, until an unknown bug completely destroyed it when it was so darn close to completion. Fortunately, the earlier version of the scenario still existed, and now I decided to upload it to Projects section, just so you guys know I'm still dreaming of completing the project.
Nothing much to see here, certainly, just a few preliminary scenes and a few music/sound files. Download only when you have time and bandwidth to kill.

English translation:
I'm always unsatisfied with every work I made... always feel like some aspect needs improving, or when my mind is fueled with inspiration of a fresh and better storyline/theme after playing a new game, hehehe)
Regarding retirement... I haven't officially retired or gave up designing yet... I still have hopes that I'm going to get back to the editor someday and breathe life back to my abandoned projects. :) |

gimana kalo karakter sama ceritanya mas gabung aja, trus ganti cerita sma karakternya agak berbeda sama. seperti Final Fantasy XV, dulunya final fantasy XIII versus. gua juga suka Game RPG.
just saying how bout you mix all of your previous stories and character, maybe starting from spin off.
Translation through Google Translate:
what if the same characters join the story mas aja, then replace the story is somewhat different character sma same. such as Final Fantasy XV, formerly Final Fantasy versus XIII. cave also like RPG.

@Mash: Some elements from Cherub Rock (specifically map design and plot) will be integrated to my one and only project -- Fabula Fatali. ;)
@D4ra: I already have the whole storyline thought out, what I need to do now is nothing else but start designing. :)
(Also you should use Google Translate bro) |

I really love the story I thought out as it is now, so there's a very little chance that I'm going to change anything from now on. |

'Bullet with Butterfly Wings' is a small teaser that offers a window to a larger yet unfinished prologue. Despite the author's self-deprecating ways, this teaser promises a lot in terms of good story-telling and an RPG-inspired soundtrack. The positive feedback prior to this review is proof of that. The cinematic lasts only for a few minutes.
PLAYABILITY: 'Bullet with Butterfly Wings' plays like one of those old RPGs you grew up with in the 90s, but of course that depends on when you were actually born. The author has a monopoly on these kind of games, with good story-telling, interesting characters and a wonderful soundtrack that compliments the viewing experience. The downside here is of course it's unfinished nature, which detracts substantially from the overall rating of this review. At the start of the cinematic, the player has the option to select two separate story lines for viewing, however only one of these has been completed. It's a great shame really that a bug destroyed the almost completed version as this teaser promises so much. Just as the story starts to pick up, it ends. 3+
PACING: While the teaser was only relatively short, I felt the slower pacing was as the author intended. Not a bad thing, and this allowed for the story and characters to be fleshed out earlier on before delving further into the plot. 5
CREATIVITY: From the onset, the cinematic is notable for its quality with well-chosen music, a developing story line and well thought out characters. The mechanic that allows the player to choose the different story lines is excellent, if only that it exists in an unfinished state. 3
MAP DESIGN: While there are only a handful of scenes, a town and forest setting to be sure, the overall quality here is very good if not almost perfect. There is little to pick out as terrain mixing and object placement are both on par, but as it forms such a small window into the overall design it's also harder to judge. 4+
STORY/INSTRUCTIONS: It's essentially the beginning of an epic adventure, but this works really well as a nice intro. The dialogue is well-written and hints are provided. 4
CONCLUSION: 'Bullet with Butterfly Wings' is a good teaser that draws you into its story, however it is unfinished and we are left not knowing where the story goes next. This cinematic is well worth watching if this is your thing. I also recommend the author's other RPG-based work 'Cherub Rock'.
In a sentence - A sneak-peak into a promising adventure.
In closing - I recommend this download.[Edited on 03/20/17 @ 08:09 PM]
