[The Blood Moor]

Author File Description
File Details
Version: The Conquerors 1.0c
Style: Fixed Force
Number of players: 8
A 'DOTA' style of multiplayer map based on Diablo II. The map is 60x60, scx file only (meaning no data editing, etc), with 8 max players and max 3 units you have to control. The point is to kill all other enemy heroes and level up after each kill in a fast paced multiplayer setting. To start, every player is prompted to select their hero by pushing the period button (.) and tasking their unit to their selected hero, Paladin, Necromancer, or random if not chosen. Each class has 4 spells (your garrisons) with paired cooldowns (your resources). You only have 1 life so kill or be killed.

Paladin spells: Heal, Holy Freeze, Last Stand, and Fanaticism
Necromancer spells: Poison, Curse, Summon Mage, and Summon Skeleton

Note that holy freeze, poison, and curse are area of effect spells and you must be within bring object to object range for them to work. Read the ingame instructions for more info on each individual spell.

Each kill grants a level up which improves spell damage, time (such as how long an enemy is frozen with holy freeze), Hero damage, Hero Hp, or Minion damage (for necro).

Map settings:
All techs
No Comps
Civ's do not matter
Everyone has no team
Standard starting resources
No vision
Standard starting age
Fast Speed
turn on your ingame sounds!

Current version 1.09. Thanks to Basse for the terrain work!

Den cekke Hey I tried your scenario online but every time the screen freezes at the beginning. I think the set up of the map is way too intensive. Maybe you could leave the change view triggers out and spread the triggers so they don't all launch at the same time.
Basse I did not have any problems with 2 players. Sure there was a small delay for a few seconds at start, but later on it was fine. Den cekkes suggestion is good though, will increase playability for most people :)
Den cekke Yeah I tried it with 2 players too and then it worked. But with 8 random people it's just not possible=D.

Thanks for the input, I've experienced what you are referring to, I'll try to fix it asap :)

Thanks headmunch, as for the lag I tried as best I can to fix the problem but it still lags if you play with laggy people. I hope more people try this map out because I really think it's a diamond in the rough but most people find it too confusing (it's really not though! just have to understand the spells).

PS. i'm always willing to play, send me an email if you're interested
