Turtle Pack, a game data editing software package of AOE1, AOE2 and Star Wars, was called SLP Editor before.
it includes 3 tools, as follow:
DRS Editor -- can be used for modifying the game data file
SLP Editor --can be used for modifying the game images
Animation Preview --can be used to do visual evaluating specially for SLP images
This is a well-designed software, you will feel like using it for its convenience.

About the Language:
The default language of Turtle Pack is English. You can check in the languages
folder to see if your preferred language is available - if yes, copy the language.lg
to the main directory and replace the original one; if not, you may used notepad or
other text editor to edit and translate the language.lg you are your language.
When modifying language.lg, remember to keep the original texts in the same lines.

Usefulness/Novelty: 5
This is the best modding program since ModPack Studio which is not that good compared to this. Very simple. Recommend for beginners and advanced people. I used it a lot for my graphic mods. I should give this a million stars.
Quality/Instructions: 5
Now the author gave a brilliant amount of information about how to use all 3 programs. Also the programs are simple to understand but can be advanced for editing 256-color-bitmaps.
Cons: 2 Cons
One thing I don't like about any modding program that doesn't allow you to edit in the program. But
it is hard to make one thing that edits the bmp's.

It is an amazing program. I think it should be rated 10/10 stars and because of the convert to bmp feature that tops it off.

Rageofempires, I edited a few words in your review. Be a bit more respectful towards people that have placed the foundations of modding in AOK. Saying MPS "sucks badly" is like saying the first aeroplane was sucky compared to today's jet planes.
If anything, the fact that MPS is still used today proves that it was an excellent software. Of course there are different, better alternatives today, the best of which seems to be the Turtle Pack, but that doesn't diminish the MPS authors' merits. |

Won't work for me. When I try to open a drs file with drs editor 1.5 it says "cannot open file graphics.drs access is denied. |

A palette conversion editor is a feature from modpack studio which converts palette indexes to the ones you set.

see slp editor->menus->tools->Bitmap format converison.you can converison any *.bmp file to format by palette of age2.
or Palette Editor?
