But why are they all in a heavily forested map? Your file could do with some instructions, hints or history.

That's not the point. I only asked you if there was a storyline at all. Why would the Mongols who favor open plains and mobility in battle restrict themselves to a fortress?

Your comment brings me to a totally unrelated point with this scenario. It's supposed to be fun for the downloaders to play it. At the moment the enemy is indeed stuck in a small walled section of the map. It's rather easy to use your free longbowmen (who are constantly created in your base with the only trigger in the map) and wipe out the enemy. Both players start with a a basic base of a towncenter, some villagers and a scout, but the free longbowmen gives the human player such a large advantage that it takes away any challenge that this map presented. It turns the scenario into a simple waiting game, which only requires some patience from the player. I am sure that while it may be fun for you to play, others will find it not challenging all.

I believe this is supposed to depict the battle of Ain Jalut, where Qotoz's army fought against the Mongols (which were not led by Genghis Khan, by the way, as he was already dead at that time).

I wanted to make a scenario about this too, at some point. Dead End is right about the heavily forested map, though. It is not accurate historically. I am not going to pronounce myself about the gameplay, as I haven't played it yet.

"Seif Al-Din Qotoz" is a scenario that seems to be very loosely based on the historical battle of Ain Julut. It consists of an Arena random map with a trigger that continuously creates Gaia longbowmen in Player 1's base. If played as a "Standard Game" and not through the editor, the human player is forced to be Player 2; however, as Gaia units only convert to the human player's colour, they will still get the longbowmen eventually.

Interestingly, Player 2 is the Mongols, which according to the designer the player is supposed to be defeating. This suggests that setting Player 1 to "Computer" was a mistake on the part of the designer.

Balance: 1
The massive amount of longbowmen gives the human player a huge advantage.

Creativity: 1
In the few sentences above I have described the entire scenario. The fact I have nothing more to say speaks volumes about the creativity score this scenario deserves.

Map Design: 2
It's an ordinary random map, so 2 is given automatically.

Story/Instructions: 1
No story or instructions are provided, aside from what is in the uploader's original post above.

Additional Comments: The creator of this scenario would do well to play some scenarios with a rating of 3.0 or above, to see the basic requirements for a scenario to be considered any good.
