This is my entry for the remake competition. I hope you enjoy it!
This is a remake of the Battle of the Conquerors: Kyoto. I have pretty much just added a lot more depth to the original level as well as adding a degree of role play.
I only started this level a month ago so there may be some bugs. So please point them out to me.
Thanks for playing!

Hi biro! Downloading your scen now. Just out of curiosity, are you wpbiro of "journey to middle earth"- fame in empire earth heaven?
EDIT:
I have started playing it, biro. A couple of bugs though:
1 - During cinematic, a change view occurs saying "You're here". Akio is near the war wagon, and near him is a person that, when selected, says trade partner. I think this is intended to be a later part of the scenario.
2 - The scenario just crashes after a couple of seconds after the scout and Akio reaches the town.

Thanks for pointing those out to me. I uploaded this pretty near to midnight so I may have left in some obvious bugs.
I'm afraid I'm not wpbiro - sorry to disappoint!

Biro-
Same issue as Shieldwolf. Check your triggers. If you have too many triggers firing at the same time, too many effects in a trigger (usually 10 is the max that I feel safe with), or too many things changing ownership or being removed, it will cause a crash.
I hope you update the project; the map design looks really nice (reminds me of Ingo and Emperors Japan scenarios, a compliment that is not tossed out lightly) and I am really looking forward to playing the finished version!
Happy designing! |

I THINK I have fixed those bugs. Though at the same time I think I may have messed up the sound files (this is the first time I uploaded a file onto AOKH...) |

Off topic (although I do intend to play your scenario) @Hokeysam - the max for triggers is 300 effects, each affecting one object, or one effect effecting 300 objects. (or anywhere in between) I usually allow about 20 to fire at once, unless I know it's just one unit being affected. |

Good to know...thanks Carol! I seem just to be overly cautious because I have had some serious problems with bugged trigs before. My current AOK computer is also pretty old (windows XP)! It still runs well though; played big scenarios like Gwyndlegard with minimal or no lag! |

No worries, Biro. Just wanted to make sure. It's rare nowadays to see veteran EE-designers. I have downloaded again the scenario, and hope to finish playing it.
EDIT:
Loved the music, and witty dialogues too! However, there were many times that instructions were kinda vague. Very good-looking map (although there were places wherein the player's units can roam outside the made-up scenery, particularly in the search for the tunnel. Also, I'm currently stuck in this part (I'm on the interesting man's prison (nostalgic dialogue has fired), and I think the tunnel should be right there, under the stone mines. But I'm almost 5 minutes trying to access it. Nothing happens. Help?[Edited on 08/28/12 @ 02:35 PM]

I'm pretty sure you have to go look at the stone mines to prompt the dialogue about the tunnel collapsing. Then send Akio into the other prison room and make him walk by the broken cart. Hope this helps ;) |

ow, that dialogue already fired too. however, the gate to the other prison remains owned by the ally, and it is locked. I see though that the other gate on the other side of the "lake" (previously owned by the enemy) is now owned by Player 1. I have tried destroying the damaged wall (and waited quite a while for Akio to do so), only to see that the bamboos prevented them in passing! :( |
