Version: The Conquerors
You will have the ability to scout the friendly Town of Timoshu.

Timoshu was raised in 789AC by local townspeople from Kyoto. They were fleeing Mercenaries looking for a new settlement where they could live in peace, away from oppression and barbary. Here, close to the river Mojgutos, they found an excellent placement to establish a town - The fish was fresh and rich, the ground was far from dry and perfect for Farming, and the environment was large and flat - Perfect to build a Town upon.

I hope you enjoy the map.

"Timoshu" was an entry to the 2013 Pretty Town Contest, although despite the name of the contest I found this map to possess a better terrain than city landscape. Its quite a nice looking affair that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Some terrain detailing has room for improvement, such as the many bamboo trees placed with the terrain tool leaving splotches of leaves around, yet I did find it good looking nonetheless. The roads were looking the part with a dirt expanse featuring broken cobble stones, while the landscape had a decent amount of elevation usage with a slightly heavy handed dosage of gaia grass. Moving the focus to the urban areas, I found the city while pleasant to look at not especially noteworthy at any point in buildings usage and placement. There was a good amount of effort to breathe life into the city with its residents and dialogue but too many of them were left standing around doing nothing, which felt a bit lifeless at those points. I found the stables area to be a bit odd and out of place, perhaps a more authentic stable area would have fit in more with better detailing. I did appreciate the usage of a soundtrack which was reminiscent of 90's Japanese RPG gameplay, though it didn't entirely fit with my expectations of what would be appropriate for such a setting.

In summary "Timoshu" is a nice looking map that delivers the Japanese look reasonably well.
