Version: The Conquerors
KL-MOD 1.5 Ultimate (works on all versions of AoE II TC expansion,including userpatch and HD version).


Major features in Version 1.0 Beta:

- The entire technology tree has been modified to suit the type and strengths of each civilization.

- All units have been modified in terms of parameters like HP, range, armor, speed, attack, accuracy, bonus against other units, cost of production etc. All heroes have also been modified.

- All buildings have been modified in terms of cost, HP, armor, garrison capacity etc.

- Castles are much stronger, fire many more arrows, have more armor, can garrison more units and cost a lot more. A single castle, now can protect an entire town.

- Each castle also offers bonus 25 population beyond limit, as long as castle is standing.

- Towers have been modified. Watch tower fires 1 arrow, guard tower fires 3, and Keep fires 5 arrow. Guard tower and Keep fire faster as well. Towers can now fully support defense of town.

- Town Center can fire arrow without garrison and fires more arrows with advancing ages. Is capable of protection with and without garrison. Also, garrison capacity increases with age

- 6 new technologies have been added. These technologies show up with their description and location in the Tech Tree. These technologies are for Aztecs, Britons, Goths, Huns, Mongols and Vikings. They are listed as following:

1) High Priests (Aztecs): Monks are more powerful. Monk carrying relic is very hard to kill.[Imperial Age].

2) Robin Hood's Merry Men (Britons): All archers, including longbowman are stronger (+25 HP) and fire faster.[Imperial Age].

3) Norse Lords (Vikings): Naval superiority. Ships have more HP, more armor, move faster and fire faster. Transport ships carry +5.[Castle Age].

4) Barbarism (Huns): Cavalry are stronger and cause significant damage, especially to infantry and buildings.[Feudal Age].

5) Gothika (Goths): Gothic castles have more HP, more armor, +2 range and double garrison capacity. They also work faster and fire faster.[Castle Age].

6) The Great Khan (Mongols): Cavalry archers have +2 range and attack faster.[Castle Age].

- All buildings get stronger with advancing ages in terms of HP and armor. Also garrison capacity increases.

- All economy and general buildings require wood. All military buildings and Town Centers require wood and some stone. Castles require lot of stone and some wood.

- Farms cost less, as do lumber and mining camps.

- Bombard tower attack is melee and not pierce.

- Missile attack is melee and not pierce.

- Advancing to different ages cost more and takes longer time. Longer time permits recovery of resources used to advance.

- Petards are like suicide bombers, cost more and cause damage to nearby units and buildings.

Changes in version 1.01

- Updated turtle and elite turtle ships. Introduced a minimum range and increased maximum range.
- Updated bombard tower and Castle. Fixed bombard cannons.


Changes in version 1.02

- Updated Technology Tree. Now Tech. Tree shows Gothika.
- Fixed bugs with Camels and Halberdiers.
- updated .dll files.


Changes in version 1.1

- Fixed ranges for missile, gun and arrow units.
- updated archers, cavalry archers, all boats.
- updated some unique units.
- edited tech tree to show new technologies, description may/may not show (shows in the game).
- updated .dll files.
- tested extensively on both AoE:TC C and AoE:TC HD version.
- fixed description of certain units.
- cleaned the data file.

Changes in version 1.2

- Updated .dll files to 3-in-1 system. Now game reads only from one .dll file.
- New technologies show with description in the technology tree(Fixed popup bug).
- Updated some unique units.

Version 1.25

- Fixed description of some units and technologies.
- Fixed Hoarding, Careering, Heated Shot and their descriptions.
- Updated DLL and DATA files.

Version 1.3

- Fixed Tech Tree.
- Cleaned and Updated DLL and DATA files.

Version 1.4

- Updated some Techs like Yeoman, Thumb Ring.
- Fixed DLL file entry for Elite Cannon Galleon.
- Updated Read Me Files.

Version 1.5

- Updated War Boats.
- Updated Missile units.


Recommended AIs to use: Mexico by Hector Ocampo (works best),IS_Machine by DuckofNormandy and Barbarian by II2N. All AIs should work, although quite differently.


Credits: Keisari Tapsa (and others) for Advanced Genie Editor 3 and KT for 3-in-1 language files.

Note: The zipped file contains three .dll files, 2 .dat files and three text files.

This sounds like the exact opposite of what I have been trying, removing the castle building as it is and instead having castles as a collection of towers, walls and buildings...

Sounds very interesting. Instant download.

What do you mean by each faction? Units can be renamed I guess. ANy particular reason you ask?
Mahazona I mean each civilization ex. the Aztec and Maya can have champions renamed otomi or something like that.It would be very interesting to have a different set of unit names with different graphics in something like this.It will make everything look really unique

I think that can be done. Thought it will need some work. As long as internal names are same, units can be renamed. Its an interesting idea. Do you have like a list of names or something that can be put? I am also looking to change some graphics. Replace graphics of existing units, maybe you can help me out. Cheers.
Mahazona I dont have a name list but you can post a topic int he forum and people will be glad to help.Affa has started a similar project and maybe both of you can help each other.

Im doing a total unit graphic conversion for meso civics when its done you can use it.

Updated to KL-Mod 1.2 Ultimate. This will be the last version. There should be no bugs or errors. Please do give feedback.
