75th Annual Hunger Games-The Hunger Games AoE style

Author File Description
File Details
Version: The Conquerors 1.0c
Number of players: 2-6
It's the 75th year after the first Rebelion in Panem.
In the wake of the rebellion, the Capitol established the Hunger Games, an annual event in which twenty-four children between the ages of twelve and eighteen, one boy and one girl from each district, are chosen from a lottery and entered into a gladiatorial competition where they must fight each other to the death until only one remains standing.
The event served two purposes. The first was to demonstrate the overwhelming power the Capitol had over the districts by taking their children by force and forcing them to slay each other in a no-rules competition. It was proof that the Capitol's control over its people was so inexorable and unstoppable that they could do something so sadistic as to force the children of their conquered foes to slay each other in a battle royale. The second purpose was purely for entertainment. The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in the same vein as a reality show, its entrants practically considered celebrities and the events themselves dramatized and glorified.

Every twenty-five years there is a Quarter Quell edition of the Hunger Games. Quarter Quells mark the anniversary of the districts' defeat by the Capitol, and include special celebrations. The Games involves a twist that makes them more disastrous or difficult to compete in, or watch. A small box contains small yellow envelopes containing specific instructions for each Quarter Quell. These instructions were planned at the founding of the Hunger Games, with plans in place for hundreds of Games. The President at the time selects the appropriate card and reads it on live television to announce the theme of that year's Quell.

For he first Quarter Quell, the 25th Hunger Games the citizens of the districts had to vote on who would compete in the Hunger Games.
For the second Quarter Quell, the 50th Hunger Games. Not 24 but 48 children were thrown in the arena
And for the current Quarter Quell, the 75th Hunger Games, Victors from previous Games have been reaped to join the Games (So your character already won a Hunger Game!)

The Hunger Games are written by Suzanne Collins, I own nothing.

75th Hunger Games Arena. AoE version. V2.0
----Read the following instructions carefully before starting the game ----
-This is a 2-6 human player ffa map. You can play with teams, but first of all that's not how The Hunger Games are played. And second, you can't win because 5 players have to be defeated/resigned before the victory message comes up.

-You can not play against computers, they will not understand the map, and even if you set them on the main land, they will be very easy to defeat.

-Player 7 and player 8 have to be computer. You can not play as those players. For player 1-6. Use the standard colours. (1-blue, 2-red, 3-green, 4-yellow, 5-cyan, 6-purple)

-Set difficulty to Moderate-not Hardest! Hardest will cause player 8 to get resources at the start wich makes the cycles start way earlier.

-Read the instructions in the game carefully, it can safe your life.

-The map is based on the area of the 75th Hunger Games. The Hunger Games arena who is described and used in the second book of The Hunger Games series, Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. The movie will be released November 22, 2013. If you don't want anything spoiled of this movie during this map, you should have read the book.
-Every 9 minutes a cycle starts. It starts in a random area with a certain trigger for 1 minute long. After that, that trigger stops and an other trigger in the area clockwise to the previous will start for 1 minute long. This continues untill all 8 area's have had a different event. There will be 1 minute rest before the same cycle starts again, in a different random area.
-The events can be really annoying. Some are worse than others. Have this in your mind when you play the map. It's really great to see other players suffer from events and you can laugh at them. Untill the clock is ticking towards you...

-You can not build any war ships, The Game Makers don't want you to fight on the water.

-There is a neutral dock in the middle of the lake, you can use it for trade.
