First of all i want to address to admin.
If it's any problem at all with copyright violation, due to using graphic from another game and post it here, just delete it and please let me know, thanx.
If otherwise, download and enjoy the big barbarian heavy armored, fighting with cristal sword and flail.
! ! ! Made especially for modders and their projects.
Replace all the slp files from zip. with others you want in graphics.drs file, using Turtle pack.
I tell you that walking, attacking and standing number of frames from respectively slp files, don't match with the standard number of any unit in AoK (this unit has more) and I think you have to edit them and delete some of them (frames), or edit other files using Advance Genie Editor, i don't know, in order to look perfectly in game.
So, here is the full version unit, with all frames I could mix together.
Also from scratch are the dying sequence, the corpse (rot) sequence, which looks very genuine and also I've corrected some pallet colors (this way, only by the color of the sword you can different from other players).
It took me a lot of time to finish it, I hope it worth the effort and somebody finds this useful.
Please rate, and feel free to modify this unit as you want, just give proper credits, thanx.
P.S.
If there's someone interesting in making other units like this one, I have some materials with other units, and I'll gladly share.
I used MS Paint (80%), Paint Shop Pro 7 (15%) and Photoscape (5%) for graphics. |

This is a great and simple mod that allows you to add a gigantic monster warrior to your range of soldiers, or potential enemies, in the game. The Diablo 2 graphics blend very well with the game's graphics, and the design of the thing is awesome. The mod comes in .slp files and not a finished .drs & .dat combo, which means it's easier for modders to take the graphics and use them for their own mods. Add the graphics to your drs library, create a new unit, give it a little range and you have a deadly monster to use for your custom scenarios!
All in all, this is a great mod which I personally have had good use for! |

The Heavy barbarian Unit by Korbalb is a mod pack which brings the Heavy Barbarian Unit from Diablo 2 in the AOK editor. I've seen this unit in game in the final scenario of Lord Basse's epic campaign the Relics of Athalen. It's a beautifully designed unit that is perfect to use as a heavily armored giant or as some sort of demonic creature in your dark fantasy scenarios. The unit fits pretty well in with game but I wouldn't say perfectly. There is some element of it which makes it look a bit out of place with the rest of the graphics in AOK. Seeing this unit in action also showed me that it's walking frames look slightly odd. His large legs only seem to move slightly, and makes it look like he's try to walk on his tip-toes, as the frame moves up slightly too. The author has also said that the frames do not match that of any unit in game which means either editing the frames or editing a unit using AGE. Whilst this is possible and perfectly acceptable, it would make the unit quite hard to use for a relatively new designer who is new to modding and wouldn't particularly know what he's doing.
Additional Comments:
Overall a superb unit that would add alot of effect and atmosphere into your scenarios. But hard to add into game for a new designer and slightly out of place with the rest of the game.
Great Unit and well worth the download
