I have tried to create a Black Forest style map but with a couple of rivers snaking through the middle. You may be separated from the other players by water, or you might on the same piece of land as an ally ... or an enemy. In any case, the rivers provide an extra dimension beyond your standard Black Forest experience. Often it may not be enough to just wall off the shallows.

This is a random map script, so it will be different every time and should scale reasonably well to every map size and any number of players.
To play, place the script in the random folder and then choose the following when setting up a match:
Map style - Custom
Location - ZN@BF_Rivers_v3
The starting areas can sometimes very small and cramped. I have tried to reduce the frequency of this happening, but there is no way I can completely prevent it without ruining the feeling of the forest. This can sometimes impair AI performance.
This map can be unbalanced at times, and is intended for casual play rather than competitive games.
As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated so that I can fix bugs and improve my maps.

Awesome script! Have been looking for something like this for some time.
Unbalanced at times, but very nice to look at. Also something different from the dull BF or the also not so special rivers map.

I noticed that there is a large tendency for players to only have one entrance into their base - an entrance that can be walled off fairly easily. This makes flushing very easy - and trushing moreso than normal - which is a small plus as I need practice with my flush :P
It's exactly what it says on the tin - black forest with rivers. Because of the lack of large numbers of crossings and the fact that rivers are all connected it means the Koreans & their Turtle Ships have a decisive advantage.
Good usage of the rocks to stop pathfinding bugginess.
Overall, well done - a nice balanced change-from-boring-ES map!

In WololoKingdoms the script often generates mangrove shallows instead of sand. Any idea how to fix that?

After doing a bit of research it's because WK replaces terrain 11 (dirt2) with mangrove shallow. The solution is to replace all occurrences of terrain 11 with terrain 27 instead, which is the building foundation terrain and also looks like dirt2.
The more relevant question is whether I should do this for all my maps, or go complain to the WK team until they come up with a better way to implement terrains which doesn't break a bunch of existing maps.

Well, I finally fixed it, in the process of remastering it for DE. So it will work in WololoKingdoms now.

Hello, I've been wondering if it is possible to play personalized random maps in AoC mods like Forgotten Empires (the mod for Conqueros not HD) or Age of Chivalry.
I've tried to place the .rms files in the Random folder with no luck. If I open The Conquerors exe works, but with the aoc.exe or age2_x2.exe of the mods they don't show up.
