Several other mythological figures are also given names, dates, etc. in the book.
Recent discoveries since 1876 seem to lend credible curcumstantial evidence in favor of the manuscript, so maybe it should not be forgotten.

I had the pleasure of hearing some excellent historians speak about the book. In the Dutch scholarly community it is regarded as a rather successful hoax, which continues to fool people up to this day.
