Version: The Conquerors
My first AI. Designed for black forest or arena maps. Doesn't rush, but given enough time to boom this AI can be strong.

strategy : economic boom
civ : any
map : black forest, arena
mode : random map
difficulty : beginner, comparable with default AoC AI.

BritishGuy No information about it?

Does it make the computer player aggressive? Boom? Rush? Economic? Does it have alliance support? Does it have taunt commands? What are the limitations? What maps does it work best on?

Usually helps to provide this. ;)


Reading the .per file, it seems to be an aggressive AI that taunts the player?

bonzo Is it compatible with AoK:HD or Forgotten Empires civs?

Yes it is compatible with AoFE. I dont know about aoe2HD and aofeHD though.
Promiskuitiv Your AI is still very basic and doesn't change its playstyle no matter what the enemy does but that's okay for a beginner-AI.
The thing bothering the most is that you use looping attack-now to attack which will make the game lag very heavily.

Ok thanks for the feedback. I'll check it out. Do you also have information on how to make the AI have different strategies?
Promiskuitiv Yes and i tried posting a basic example here but my post got cut off in the middle for some reason (probably because of the use of the less-than symbol) so i'd recommend visiting us scripters at our home aiscripters.com, if you ask nicely then i'm sure that someone there will answer you in a helpful manner.

Does anyone know why my AI doesnt build farms? He has like 10 farmers and 60 lumberjacks in imperial age although he should have more farmers than lumberjacks. Sometimes he suddenly does start building farms, but it's often too late and I don't know why he didn't do it earlier. It's weird because he should have about 60 % of his vills food gatherers



II2N Your farming rule for castle/imperial age requires a certain number of idle farms to trigger, and in some cases there may be farms outside the reach of sn-maximum-food-drop-distance (such as when a mill gets razed). In a situation like that no new farms would be built.

In 1.0c there also exists a bug that may completely prevent building new farms: if a building gets destroyed while it is underconstruction, that type of building becomes unavailable for the AI.

Escrow would have been a good candidate for this bug, but your AI doesn't use it.

ok. Great job on barbarian AI by the way. Do you have tips on how to make mine better? Reading the barbarian .per file I didnt understand much of it xD
