In this map you start in a nice green fertile valley, sorrounded by densely forested high mountains.
Most of the gold and stone (and wood) are located in a mountains, while all food sources are in valley(s). Mountains can divide few valleys - with only few passages through the forest - or players may starts in one valley.
There is quite contrast between opened space in valleys suitable for maneuvering, and closed passages through the the forest, which can be held by a few soldiers.
I made it with four themes, standart grass, snowy, asian, and jungle,
but there were problems with a jungle theme - it sometimes crushed the game and i couldn't find the reason why (testing shows, that it has problems with object creating), so i set it to zero percent chance and there is only three themes left.
There are three script files in the zip:
first standard, second for team valley (each team starts in one valley) - both playable with regicide mode,
and third king of the hill variant.
(there is my second problem - it looks like the "if KING_OF_THE_HILL" situation allways occurs regardless of the type of game)
This is my second RM script here, so, I would be greatfull for any comment.
I had the same problem, where using a large number of jungle trees caused crashes. :/ I didn't find a good fix, other than reducing the amount of jungle trees and replacing them with other trees.
For king of the hill: Delete the "if KING_OF_THE_HILL". Choosing king of the hill ingame will automatically place a monument in the center, without needing any special cue in the script. You will need to do something about the wolves though...
The map looks very nice! I like the terrain and forest mixing. Keep up the good work :D

It's good to know that it is usual problem. But i wonder why it doesn't happen with the standart maps (like yucatan).
In a King of the hill i hope i would create special place for the monument. I didn't know game is placing it automatically so, as you say, it could be done another way easily.
And hell can take the wolves :D They are not necessary.
may I ask you, what do you use to make screenshots? It's look much better than ingame one and I haven't found any utility.

CTRL + F12 lets you do full map screenshots.
If you are using the HD Edition of Age of Empires II on Steam it will not work though.

Hello! afflicted for my bad English I use Google translation. I tested the green valley 1.3 with random map 3vs5 conquest.i like this map because the forest is dense but there is place to build the military buildings as well as the many houses to support the population. there are many wild bays what makes it possible to leave lumberjacks.i played very quickly with the green map valley (KOFH) even configuration, it is a very beautiful map and it is original, I did not explore it perfectly, because a allied IA standard has suddenly built at the house and I do not like that
