It's time to leave the Imperial and go into the next Age . . .
The Golden Age!
Features:
- new base units and technologies
- new Unique Units / Technologies
- New buildings
- New icons and graphics
- Unique heroes
- Fully support RM / DM / CS maps
- Researchable in Accursed and Tower of Flies too (for cba and blood maps)
in \Age of empires II\Data\ folder from your empires2_x1_p1.dat and gamedata_x1_p1.drs files.
2. Download the file, and unpack to Age of empires II main folder and overwrite all. (the zip file contain all necessary folder)
The top of the screen WON'T SHOW the new age. Userpatch shows this age as Unknown at player's name.
Tech tree editing is difficult. If I make just one mistake, game will crash, so I won't edit it. In addition, if a civ know 4. age unit, then he will know 5. too.
Civs like japan, viking, byzantines and chinese not getting new % stuffs from the 5. age (except spanish blacksmith no gold). Civilization bonuses and team bonuses untouched.

To make the mod work, i had to rename your files to:
language_x1.dll
gamedata_x1.drs
empires2_x1.dat
i think you can add this to your readme.txt in case someone have the same version of mine age.

Just curious is there any possibility to add moving water in the mod?

Now however, what I think of the Golden Age is that it is obviously the real Renaissance since you are getting advanced stuff in that age.

This mod for aoe2 TC (not for aofe, HD).
If you overwrote the correct files, then I have no idea what is wrong.

I have it working 100% in AoEHD.
If you want to use this mod with AoEHD then all you have to do is download the mod from this page.
Then copy the Data files to your AoEHD Data folder.
Then use the custom language file instead of the language_x1_p1.dll and place it in Bin\en\en-language.txt. Custom Language file download: http://www.mediafire.com/view/bg4iqyvq2zpd4wm/en-language.txt
Launch the game as normal and it will work.

The mod got a major update:
- New design for buildings in 5th age!
- Unique heroes! (just once can be trained)
- 2 new technology in Monastery, 1 in Stable and 1 in Siege Workshop
- Fixed the Cavalry's visual bug
- Noble Swordsman +5 hp
- Royal Longbowman -1 pierce armor
