Age of Chivalry:Hegemony
This scenario requires Age of Chivalry. It is very easy and quick to install.
The French are still resisting. After many battles, the winner is still not clear. But this may change, Loens is a very flat place, perfect for cavalry. Can German pikes and lancers stand against the glorious French knights?
It's my first scenario and very easy. I will try to do it harder next time, but I am still so bad at creating stories.
"Battle of Loens" is a fixed force combat scenario or the Age of Chivalry modpack.
The game resolves itself smoothly enough but there is little to actually do. If you like to make a combat scenario in which one side automatically wins, i would suggest targeting the cinematic scenario category!
As the author stated himself, it is not balanced, and the player wins without doing anything;i tested this out and won without a single mouseclick. Whatever the historical outcome of the battle may be, i suggest always giving a preponderance of strength in numbers or upgrades to the enemy, so the player has some kind of challenge to overcome at least.
There wasnt a great deal of effort put into the overall scenario, but the dialogue and history used is commendable. Search out other combat scenarios or cinematic scenarios, implement their common ideas, and put your own twist and presentation on them to form a new entity.
Map Design 2
The map as seen is very simple but has the bare minimum of gaia and building placements to not be blank. The blank areas of the map are not seen if the player inputs no commands, so i didnt penalize it the usual -1 for blankness.
Despite the author saying he is bad at story telling, this is clearly the best part of the scenario. There is history presented, a logical narrative with dialogue, and a decent flow for the battle cinematic.
Final thoughts: It is a simple battle\cinematic scenario.
