My Pretty Town Contest for 2015 called "Hidden Village". Don't play on fast speed because the music will probably overlap. A small Aztec village hidden away in the depths of the jungle, perfect for exploring. Don't forget that this scenario is for the Age of Forgotten Empires mod.
Hidden Village is MrMew's entry to the 2015 Pretty Town Contest.
Authenticity: The author did a nice job of creating a distinct map, but many parts were severely lacking on the atmosphere front and the design in general seemed rushed. I feel that with a little more polishing an excellent concept could have been translated into a better scenario.
Creativity: The concept was interesting enough, but there wasn’t much that set the map apart in terms of creativity. The design could have used a little more inspiration in particular, and the explanation of everyone being away at the ball game seemed like a bit of a cop out for simply not having the time to create a proper atmosphere.
Layout: The design in general was rather average. Building layouts and terrain mixing/usage of gaia was decent enough, but not very impressive either. It seemed that it could have benefited from a few more hours of polishing and some more attention to detail.
Technical skill: Nothing was glaringly off, but there seemed to have been potential for a more inspired use of triggers and design in general. While context was established, a little elaboration could have gone a long way.
