Role Playing Strategy
Manfred and the Dragon:
You are Manfred von Karma, the fearless foot knight from Germany, escorted to this forest in France. There have been reports of a dragon in the cave between Mt. De Metz and Mt. Bertrand. Find the dragon and slay it, then bring its head to Kushluk.
Objectives: Slay the dragon and report it to Kushluk back in the castle.
NOTE: I am new to triggers, so you can tell me more about them and/or give me a guide to triggering. THIS IS JUST A SCENARIO WITH NO VICTORY TRIGGER! If you kill the dragon and get bored, you can just roleplay some story or close the game.
My first scenario with triggers other than change object name. Please rate it and review it. Enjoy!
If you play this in AOE2HD like I did yesterday, you will find out that the so called 'dragon' was just a wooden toy....
~Peter the Grammar God
"Manfred und der Drachen" is a simple dragon hunting scenario for the AoFE2.2 mod.
The game consists of walking down a very narrow corridor of land, killing some wolves and finally a Dragon unit. There is no way to win, and your stuck using a "Man in a long cloak" aka the Teutonic Knight so its quite a plod.
The Dragon unit packs a wallop, with stats rivial a cheat unit and a rapid fire attack. However your 6000 HP hero and 70+ attack hero is a cheat unit himself and will easily defeat the beast. I dont get how you could lose, and there seems to be no victory conditions. When you quit the message says the dragon went down the path and destroyed the castle, but a single dragon unit doesn't have what it takes to take out the towers+fortress+castle combo.
There isnt much to the scenario but at least there is some minimal effort.
Map Design 2
The map consists of a tunnel through a solid forest. It actually has some reasonable points of detailing, but what drags it down is the dragon lair;the edge of the black tile terrain is clearly visible and the waterfall out of the mountainside is pretty weird looking. There is about as much land being used as in a 25x25 map i would reckon;there isn't much to assess.
There were some basic objectives and sort of a story. Instead of advising the player to "roleplay" it to completion, you should make the story yourself and put it in the game. Its enough to avoid a minimum score i guess.
