You awake on a small island with 5 other strangers. You can't remember anything. Where you came from...or even who you are. You quickly discover your in a giant ditch surrounded by cliffs. Your island is small with limited resources. You read a note on a tree which gives you insight to where you are....You're in the arena. Your mission...destroy the other participants in the arena..the other island. You quickly discover this is no ordinary arena. It is shrouded with mystery and unknown properties that will drive any person mad. Voices can be heard...faces can be seen. Where are you? What is the purpose of this arena? Who put you here? Will you and the strangers kill the inhabitants before the arena drives all of you crazy? Will you let the arena take your lives? It is up to you. Nothing can be certain about where you are or the purpose of all of this. Only one thing can be certain......the arena awaits.
The game was very fun to play B&D. Maybe transforming it into RPG would be better - 6 male strangers reproduce into 30 villagers and establish a growing community on a small island in an arena? => RPG with 6 controllable units and food system, maybe bigger map more islands for the next part you are promising would be fun. Anyway the playability was good. Bigger islands and slightly more resources. 4+
It was very challenging, even on standard. AI had trigger created bonus champions and I was in feudal. Very good balance, I was struggling for survival there. 5
& strangers having to work together in an arena type of survival isn't really creative, right? Anyways the author managed to design a nice B&D out of it. 3
Map Design: 3+
Map design wasn't bad. A bit more polishing on the islands and some terrain mixing and elevation. 3+
The instructions and hint written were poor. Maybe present all 6 strangers and not making the player one of them? 6 biographies take some space and imagination to write. Try it out. 2
