Note. I already submitted this scenario for my campaign before. I said I was going to edit and this is the edited version. I only held it off because of these two things. My Grandpa died, and I got Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-Earth. So you can compain. |

Playability:
This was a good scenario. The story was kind of short but it contained names
mixed from different stories ( LOTR, Robin Hood, etc. ). There was no eye
candy so I didn't enjoyed it alot. The balance was another problem since you
started with a real strong champion then a Longbowman with almost the same stats. Then, it asks you two build some buildings, but when I built all the buildings that I was asked to build, nothing happened. So I opened the editor, and found that the barracks area was only settled for a single tile. So, I couldn't get pass that.
Balance:
It was easy, even if I putted it on hard difficulty. I remind the author to make the champion weaker aswell as the longbowman. Also, try using another AI that isn't the standard one, the standard AI is the worst you could ever use for a scenario (The computers resign or change team constantly):
Creativity:
It's a creative story mixing stories and names. There isn't alot of
creativity with triggers since they are pretty simple (and buggy). There
isn't much Eye candy to talk about except some terrain mixing at the start
and some resources scattered around the map.
Map Design:
No Eye candy, just some resources scattered around. It's map design is equal to a random map, so a 3 goes here.
Story/Instructions:
I'm glad the author added more instructions, I was never confused or anything.
The story was well done and his creativity writing it was perfect, the only problem is the spelling and grammar mistakes in his scenario. That equals to a 4.
In overall, it's a good scenario to download (It's not in campaign format), the problem is, the point when you have to build all the buildings it asks can't be done, so I strongly suggest the author to fix that.
Points to fix:
-Add eye candy.
-Fix buildings bug.
-Make El Cid and Robin weaker.

Okay... so I need to work on that objective. And I also need to make them both weaker. But could someone tell me what kind of Eye Candy they want in it? BTW, I don't really know how to do Eye Candy anyway. So if you want EC grab the scenario, put the eyecandy in, send it to my e-mail account(arkantosthehero@hotmail.com)and I'll submit. |

It's not much of a science to play with eye candy on a scenario. Let's say that you should add gaia units in the other tab so it looks like a real story. If you still don't have any ideas on how to work on Eye Candy, there are some excellent articles in DGDN that talk about how to make a fine scenario with eye candy. But remember to work on the balance, I could give you 1 or 2 tips on how to work on it.
I still encourage you to playtest it before you submit it again (I could playtest it for you, just send the scenario to Nadim320@gmail.com), and remember to use the update form instead of adding a new file to the blacksmith.
