I updated a map made by Bidderlyn on Steam. His map was Game of Thrones OVERHAUL 3_9_9
I started by trying to fix a few things and then ended up adding in tons of new bonuses/ideas.
It is a diplo map where you are limited to 20 villagers each. The majority of your resources come from holding Castles. You cannot build castles just anywhere, only on existing Castle locations.
The goal of the game is to collect 7 relics and be crowned the One True King of Westeros.
Relics spawn at Kings Landing starting at the 30 minute mark, and for ever 20 minutes there after.
Player 2 is the King and he needs to play his cards right to survive or thrive. His main goal should be to distribute relics while also using cunning to get other factions at war. When everyone else but the king is at war, it is easy for the king to win.
Everyone else's goal should be to focus on the relics. Do not start a war unless you gain relics or castles. You only weaken yourself by fighting over minor details.
This game requires much backstabbing and plotting. Assume everyone will want to kill you at some point. Wall yourselves in and lock your gates. Do not trust anyone to march an army through your base.
Defense is your best strategy.

Game of Thrones OVERHAUL Loco is a diplomatic multiplayer scenario, originally uploaded to the Steam a workshop by Bidderlyn, this is an edited and updated version by Christopher. Based of George R. R. Martin’s epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire and it’s television adaptation Game of Thrones.
Playability: 5
Let me start by saying that this is probably one of the most enjoyable multiplayer scenarios I have ever played. As a huge Game of Thrones fan, I jumped at the opportunity to download and play this scenario, it keeps with the theme very well and as excellent gameplay. While the idea of diplomatic multiplayer scenarios is nothing new, there are countless to chose from in our Blacksmith (Mare Nostrum, The Seas of Egressa and Galderton Hil are all fine examples), this scenario not only include fast action gameplay and but a number of unique and impressive game mechanics and random events to make the scenario even more unpredictable and enjoyable.
The aim of the scenario is collect 7 relics, and become King on the Iron Throne. Each player is given a faction from the series, House Stark, House Lannister, House Tyrell, House Greyjoy and House Renly Baratheon, House Stannis Baratheon and House Arryn. The aim is to collect all of the relic through either diplomacy or conquest, and your actions will change the course of the gameplay, making every single time you play this a completely different experience. Numerous random event can occur such as the return of the White Walkers from beyond the Wall, Daenerys Targaryen’s arrival from Essos or the arrival of adorned in the south. You can also have the option to take control of the Iron Bank and the Faceless Men from the House of Black & White in Bravos.
Balance: 4
This scenario requires you to do a lot of multitasking and micromanagement in order to succeed well. Each faction requires you to use a completely different style of gameplay. In the North you have two bases to defend and manage, Castle Black and Winterfell, which requires you to understand micromanagement, multitasking and also be watchful of what’s happening on both the east, west and south of your borders. On the Iron Islands, you have to understand good naval ware fare as you are protected by the sea, but most of your assets are ships, As House Lannister toy control Kings Landing, locates right in the centre of the map, this is where most of the action will take place. New relics spawn regularly and every other player will be descending on you to collect them. You will have to watch all areas of the map to keep yourself safe from attack or be diplomatic with the other players and create alliances.
The difficulty of the scenario will vary depending on your playing style and which faction you are allocated. For some games you may find it easier whilst some you will find near impossible if you are not used to the style you need to play. Overall the scenario is well balanced but I feel some factions are stronger than others and some will be left behind in the initial rush due to starting at a lower age or having to focus more in defence than growth due to their location.
Creativity: 5
This is by far the scenarios greatest point. This scenario is so full of extensive trigger tricks and mechanics it must have taken the author hours and hours and pain staking work to achieve. The gameplay shows numerous special trigger tricks that showcase the creativity of the scenario such as all of the different random events that can occur at any time. The entire concept of the scenario is clever, with each player having to use a blend of diplomacy and war in order to collect enough relics to be crown the victor and all of the different playing styles that have been put into the game. You’ll never get bored playing this so long as you keep changing which faction you play. The scenario keeps to the theme well, not just using the source material as a base for a location, but basing the entire gameplay on what you see happening in the show. Each faction includes heroes from the books, Jon Snow in Castle Black, Tyrion Lannister in Kings Landing, Thekn Greyjoy in Pyke, Stannis Baratheon in Dragonstone and Robb and Sansa Stark in Winterfell.
Map Design: 4
The scenario is set on an accurately recreated map of Westeros with the very western shores of Essos seen in to the east of the map. Starting in the North, you will see the frozen lands beyond the Wall and then travelling south toward Castle Black and the snowy lands the surround Winterfell. To the east you will find the hills and mountains of the Vale of Arryn and the Riverlands to the west of that. Down south towards the centre of the map is Kings Landing which includes the Sept or Baleor and the Red Keep. To the west, in the middle of the Narrow Sea is the Castle of Dragonstone and south is the Stormlands where the Baratheons reside at Storms End. Just west of this is the beautiful Reach which seat House Tyrell of Highgarden and slightly north of that is Casterly Rock of House Lannister. Finally in the Western Sea is the Iron Islands.
As you can see the map accurately recreated the famous Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and each Kingdom shows unique environments. The never ending winters of the North to the crossing rivers of the Riverlands and the Mountains of the Vale. The map showcase many different design styles and uses a lot of lovely eye candy. Terrains are used well but more terrain mixing would definitely be welcome. I feel as though if you removed all of the settlements, the base map would not look much better than anything ES would have given us if they gave it a go.
Story/Instructions: 5
Whilst there isn’t much of a story, this scenario fits its theme so well. As I previously stated, it is set in the world of Westeros and adds a lot of detail into making this world a reality within the AOK editor. You generally feel as though you are playing a Game of Thrones game. The instructions were well written and it is very easy to understand what your objectives are and how the mechanics of the game work. Depending on your ability it may take you one or two tries to fully understand the gameplay, but there are lots of helpful hints and instructions to help you out.
Additional Comments:
Overall this is a magnificent game and I strongly recommend downloading it. It’s by far the best AOK adaptation of Game of Thrones and a totally unique playing experience.
Thanks
