You are one of the tribes in the Area who Fight over resources to gain the favor of your god Kor. One day a priest comes and decides to hold a contest to see who the favored people are. He takes 9 relics and distributes them around the area. Unfortunatly, Nomadic tribes in the area have captured some and made defenses. Win by getting all 9 artifacts in your posession.
This is a good example of an early Age of Kings scenario. It has a lot of potential, but fails to deliver. You start off with a small base, and must travel across the map capturing artifacts. The idea in itself is good, but it is delivered in a poor way. For starters, there is the map: it looks like a random map with units and buildings thrown in. With a little work this could have been a nice-looking scenario, but the author did not take the time to make it so. Next, there is the Playability: it does get monotonous attacking the same style of town over and over again, all for the sake of artifacts. The way the artifacts were guarded should have been varied, to make the scenario more interesting to play. The Balance is not bad, presenting you with a challenge, without being overly hard. Unfortunately, the Story/Instructions could have used a little work. They were short, with no Bitmap.
There were no triggers that I could tell, except for the Victory Conditions, which did not even work. Even a little playtesting would have picked up on that right away. In fact, this scenario feels like it was rushed a little. However, as I have already mentioned, it does show a lot of potential, it just fails to deliver.
Overall, this scenario is not all that great, but the author does have some good ideas, and if he can develop them better in the future, he has a chance to be a good designer.
