Vlad the Impailer is a deathmatch style B&D with the player starting with 100k of all resources, in the dark age, with dozens of villagers. The player can quickly recruit dozens of gaia bombard cannons and trebuchets(well over 100 all combined) and is tasked with destroying a strongly defended fort.
The player is given 100k resources yet must sit and wait to research imperial age, all the while managing hundreds of artillery units, so many they are difficult to marshal infact. The AI is crippled by many rabid wolves placed on the map, which incidentally help protect your bombards from attack.
The player could probably win using only the starting siege units, has infinite resources, and the strong turk civ to spam jannisaries\cannons if all else fails.
No particular thought seems to be given toward creating a significantly different game than a deathmath on a custom map, albeit with a massive fort to reduce.
Map Design 2
The overall map design is reminiscent of a customized arabia map with heavy overuse of yak hair flags and many skeletons. The central fort\city is not particularly appealing in any way.
No story, some basic hints,no scouts or history tab. The hints say you need to be careful of your siege units, but you could make several million with the resources provided and the starting siege units can actually walk up to the fortress and simply attrition it down singlehandly.
Final thoughts. Play a deathmatch against a custom AI on a random map, it will be better. Also experienced big lag spikes on my quad core 3.3ghz system. This scenario received a review by virtue of having 3000+ downloads and being unrated.
