These units would have been some nice additions if the shadows were shorter.

This is converted 3d models from medieval total war and yes it will work on steam. But you need to change the frame count.

This unit pack by Mahazona contains 10 medieval foot knights. These units were orbital converted from Medieval: Total War by snow11. The original units were excessively large with frame counts in the thousands, causing severe lag in the game. Mahazona has taken these units and made a great effort at not only reducing the frame counts into a useable state, but also adding player colour which wasn’t originally included with these units.
The quality of these units graphics is incredible. The Total War series boast high definition in its graphics and intense detailing, allowing players to zoom in to closely see what their soldiers are up to on the battlefield. That detail hasn’t been lost in this conversion to the point that you can even see the shine of the knights armour. The units blend well in game with other units, and are incredibly useful as they are chivalric knights from the exact time period that Age of Empires is set in. Full armoured knights like this are also rare in game, beyond a standard champion so this unit is also a useful addition. There are different knights for different nations, each one having a different coat of arms or colour to represent. For example there is a Scottish Knight which as the Scottish flag on its shield and blue ribbons.
There are a couple of downsides to the units. Firstly and most obviously is the fact that the units are slightly larger than standard units and can look odd towering over the others. The units will also require data editing to add to the game as their frame counts are unique. There is also no custom icon.
Overal these units are great additions to the editor. Thank you snow11 for converting them and thank you Mahazona for fixing them.
