This one was crazy funny, especially since I'm a big AoE nerd. The pikemen (I think they were pikemen, right?) playing hockey were priceless, especially considering the neighbor's kids had a big, fat, red "ENEMY" on the status.
Great work. |

This is a fairly funny little interactive cutscene that takes place on christmas morning. It starts off with all the children coming out to get presents then you can look around at various things ranging from a toy shop to a jolly red coated king with reindeer. it has many funny parts to it like when Jimmy imagines what his present is. One of the best parts is the hockey game. A very good use of triggers and pikemen to make it look real. ( If only you could see the puck). The downside was the map and the shortness. The story took place on one small island with a color changing red and green tent and a tree. However I still recomend this to anyone trying to get into the summer christmas spirit, and everyone else to.[Edited on 06/21/07 @ 08:23 AM]

That kinda.. yea, I know it sounds weird.. was totally totally totally totally totally one of the worst scenarios I have ever played. No offense, but the only good thing was the iceskating and the sounds. The map design was strange and unrealistic, the snowfall system was creative but looked very strange and the presents were even stranger, as no kid would dream of a siege ram or cannon galleon as a present.
I know it might sound as if I am jealous, but I am not. I do envy your amount of dls though, but thats out of the question. [Edited on 09/15/08 @ 03:48 PM]

You miss the point; it's a scenario based on AoK, not on a child's realistic christmas day. It's meant to be funny, a parody of the game we all love to play.
Also, remember, the game was made in 1999 - that's almost a decade ago. Think of people's reactions when something like this came out! Even in such a case, the cut-scene, which is perhaps the first of its kind, is still a creative and entertaining piece of work. :-)[Edited on 09/15/08 @ 03:48 PM]

I'm playing this, 18 years after it was released, the same day. It is amazing. I wish I was born a bit earlier. This scenario is 4 years older than me.
