Upshire is a fledgeling kingdom wedged between the Grimlech Mountains and the Forest Rand. The capital is located where River Rand flows into the Alding and south of it lie the fiefdoms of Gallowick, Pengate, and Hawksley. Except for the occasional brigands and mountain tribes, the kingdom is at peace with its human neighbors.
King Garwin Upshire rules the land fairly as he prepares his son Conlan to take his place when the time comes. But outside events are about to throw the land into chaos and the King and his Barons will soon be forced to either secure their future by blade-point or die trying.
This is the campaign introduced by the Bastion of Avernus scenario released on AoKH Blacksmith awhile back. It is based on various stories, some true and some not.
Very original campaign. Each scenario is a challenge.I liked specially the first one when you have to rescue your townpeople.
The use of heroes is very good, too.Go on this way!!!.

Some mixed thoughts on Nemesis Oriflamme
- The maps were a mixed bag -- some parts were well done
(caves in mission #5, and some of the cities), yet most of it
was lacking in much to look at. Maybe consider adding
more variety - some eyecandy here and there would help a lot.
- I found the story enjoyable with many twists and turns.
You start out in a nice peaceful kingdom and are soon
enveloped in war and all the confusion and desperate actions
that go with it (this seems to happen a lot in the scenario
world of AOK :^). However, the in-game text flies by a
little too fast for me to read. This can prove a little
frustrating when you're trying to follow what is going on.
- The missions seem too short - I was flying through this
campaign and finished it in little time. Also, the missions
were a bit too easy. The objectives were achieved with
little effort and I never felt really worried that the "You
have Been Defeated" would pop up to my despair.
- in mission #3, the large amount of units slows down my
- in mission #4, the closeness of the mountains sometimes
traps my units, preventing victory.
- Text moves too fast to read. Try slowing it down.
