When I first started this scenario and saw that there was no instructions, bitmap, or history, i assumed that it was either another one of those Random-Maps with a few heros throw in, or a blank map with a bunch of units slaughtering each other. Fortunately, I was wrong. But not by much. You start as three monks, whose goal is to locate the three relics and return them to the Monastery. (Hence the name "Relics are Forever")
Before too long you will come to a town that offers you assistance. It is also here that you locate the first relic. You also find an incredibly large amount of units, more than you will ever need to complete the scenario. I beat it using only about half of the units, and I was not really trying at all.
After locating the village, you take the river to a nearby enemy town where you locate the second relic, as well as some trebs. After killing the town, it is on to the final enemy base and the final relic, and then to deposit the relics and kill the enemy king.
The main problem with this scenario is that it is waaaayyy too easy. I pretty much beat it without trying, which not only takes away from the balance, but also the playability. The Map Design was all right, but could have used some work in spots. "Relics are Forever" was a refreshing break from the usual build-up-and-destroy style, and although it doesn't exactly break any new ground in the creativity department, it is not left wanting there either.
As I mentioned, there is no instructions or bitmap, but the scenario does have a pretty good walkthrough in the hints section.
This scenario has a lot of potential, but in the end sadly fails to deliver.
