This 1 scenario campaign has a lot of promise. The use of sound and triggers shows that the creator is willing to take a step ahead and above to the level of the great campaigns.
However, the scenario gets ambiguous in parts, and I don't really know what's going on at times. Certain bugs need to be ironed out. All in all, though, the author has put some effort into this, and I suggest you all download it and give it a try. I'm sure the author's scenarios will become even better if you all - especially you experienced designers - give him some tips on how to do stuff.
My detailed input is this: You start out the game with 3 reynald de challotain. I'm not sure what the other 2 are really for, but if they are indeed useful, I would put a trigger changing ownership when you need them changed. Otherwise, it's kind of awkward. |

Hello Actium, if there were 3 reynalds it mean that I must have submitted a "beta" version of my campaign. Ugh, this is embarrasing. I'm going to re-submit the new, correct version.
To everyone who has downloaded this scenario so far: I sincerely apologize for submitting the incorrect version, the new version will be the final, correct version.
(Grr..this is what I get for not updating the Cpn file with the newest version...) |

This was a very good scenario.
AOERat covered all the bases. The map is very nicely designed.. no stinting in any areas. The game is a very nice mixture of RPG and battle. You have to complete several missions to finally win the scenario. He makes you care for your hero as you must run the gauntlet through the enemy lines to get your message to the king. You then must prove yourself to the king by rounding up the local villages. An excellent soundtrack really sets the mood during the Battle scenes. Some of the little characters have some interesting and sometimes funny stuff to tell you too.
The scenario can be tough but the author added in a great little innovation.. he warns you to save the game before tough situations (such a simple thing but the first time I have seen it done). I will copy this idea for sure!
The balance was good but weighted towards hard. Lucky my hero was tough as in the end I had to run him out and kill the enemy 1 by one. But I admit I probably fought the big battle poorly (brought my bowmen to the battle too late). I did find the story and instructions just a little lacking and the start Bitmap could have used a little work.
In all though it is well worth a download, you will enjoy it. |

Why did this replace the ES campaigns??? I downloaded it and it replaced every single campaign with just 1 scenario, I'm not saying it's bad but you could've mentioned it would do that. |
