A good, solid scenario. Not many frills, but, then, not many bugs, either. A good concept for a scenaior, one that has been done before, but infrequently. The author has done a good job playteseting, and there was only one thing that might be a bug, and that is minor, I will detail it later.

This map's strength come from it's playability, among other things. As I said before, very few bugs, well-balanced teams, and the game plays out well. The only thing that I didn't like abou the playability was the bit of repetetiveness. The computer players werre very similar to each other, and might have done with some deferentiating. Maybe player x might have an island fortress? Or player y with a large force of monks?

The balance was good, a very well-blanced scenario, leaning a bit to the easy side (But, I'm not complaining, it makes it easier to review :-). The computer players attacked you a lot at first, but then settled down once I defeated one or two.

The scenairo was creative. It had a little-used design idea, and numerous little tweaks (relic gold was your main source of revenue, you got a hero from players you defeated, etc.)

Map design and story were the weak points of this scenairo. The story was there, but I found it a bit slim, not much content or character development, and no in-game plot. The map design was OK, but again, it was slim. There wsn't any real eye-candy, and the forests had been painted on with the medium or huge paint brush, a fact that, while not critical, degrades from the overall effect a bit.

A good, solid scenaior, and you should download it. Nothing epic, but nice, solid gameplay.

Oops, forgot the bug... anyway, It says not to let William the Conqueror be killed, and you don't get a William the Conqueror. Nothing major.

AUTHORS DESCRIPTION FROM THE FIRST VERSION

In this senario, you, Duke William the Conqeror, are to conquer the land. You start out with an army (25 men) and a few villagers and a group of hand pick knights(heros).

To conquer the land you must destroy the barracks of each town and they will ally to you. Once allied, you must build a castle were the barracks was and the town becomes yours.

Tell me what you think. Enjoy!
