The House Jack Built is a very common scenario: You have some men, you'll find villagers along the way, and you have to destroy the enemy city. One might as well play a Random Map. The Map Design, however, is very well done and extremely realistic.
I gave this scenario a 2.8:
The scenario is quite fun, if one likes Build & Destroy. However, like I said before, you can do the same thing with a Random Map.
It's well balanced, neither too easy nor too hard.
To be frank, there is nothing even remotely original in this scenario. I know that 1 is a very low rating, but I can't see anything which I could call new or unique.
While 4 might be slightly high here, I thought that this map was very realistic and nice to look at. The designer seems to have put in quite a bit of work here.
The author has a excellent style of writing, and the objectives and hints are clear and easy to understand.
However, the Story seems to have very little connection with the actual scenario! There is very little related to the story in the scenario. Also, no explanation is given about the castle, enigmatically named 'The House Jack Built'.
On the whole, this is an enjoyable scenario. If you like B & D, you will enjoy this.
