This is my first entry to the Blacksmith but don't let this put you off of downloading it. I've been hanging around the Scenario Design Forum and have picked up some useful tips. This scenario is Christmas themed and could be the first scenario in a campaign. I fyou like it or Don't like it please leave a comment or suggestion here or e-mail me at FOOTYFREAKS@aol.com. Thx again and Merry Charistmas all!

It was a cold winter morning when Charles woke up to harsh rain battering down on his home in the middle of rural France. He went in to the store to look for some food as he hadn't eaten the night before. Nothing was left but a few scraps and a corn cob.
He knew his family and himself wouldn't survive winter without stocking up on food so he said to his wife and his two children that he feared there lives and his own. This is where you come in. You. You must travel forth and search, search for a job for food and water for survival.....
A mediocore scenario with exceptional map design is what this scenario is.
The playability is poor. There were no exceptional things and also there was something that I didn't like about travelling from one city to another looking for a job. It just takes too much of my time.
The balance is okay, since when you have to rescue the Briton king it's pretty hard. However, nothing else is worthy of mentioning.
The creativity is okay, but there were very few new concepts and difficult manuevers that would serve to dazzle players. However, it has all the things that define RPG in AOK so a three will be given.
The map design was pretty good and would've ranked a 5 if the author didn't put cliffs on different elevations (meaning that the gaps appeared) and put bridges where they don't belong. Other than that, the map design was very good indeed.
There was a story as far as I could tell and the instructions were ample. So the the score for a story and full instructions is given here.
- Nice map design
- Full instructions
- Really boring after a while
- Mediocore creativity
Final Thoughts: A good scenario if you have plenty of time on your hands. If you don't then it is better for you to avoid it.
