While this scenario, "Minamoto and Nobunaga", makes a good use of some of the RPG concept, it fails to include a story. The story is often the core RPG, so it’s important to focus on this area.
Playability: In this scenario there isn’t anything special to do besides wondering around and killing enemies. I think this game definitely lack some replay values. On the good side, I didn’t find any bugs, which prevents the player from completing this scenario.
Balance: Your characters Minamoto and Nobunaga are very strong, but on the other hand the enemies simply don’t the ability to challenge or give any type of real challenge. I think you have included perhaps a Boss or make the enemies more challenging.
Creativity: I the creativity area I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary in an RPG, but I have to say that a fairly good job with the triggers was done.
Map Design: The design was actually nice and it is slightly above average. In addition, the trigger effect used for the relic of death provides a very nice visual effect.
Story/Instructions: I think it’s a pity the story was not emphasized. Furthermore, the lack of ending is really hurting this game because it doesn’t give a sense of completion. The instructions and the objectives could have used a better job and a bit of spicing up.
All in all, Minamoto and Nobunaga –Prologue- could have been much better. Kilkony86 has also shown a pretty good mastery of triggers. After playing this game I’m confident that you have some talent in scenario making, so don’t give up and use some playtesters because they can make a world of difference.
