"Siege of Constantinople" is another take on the classic siege, not to be confused with other nearly identical missions.

Playability 2

The game plays out smoothly enough, and there is mild amusement from fighting the massive enemy armies if they would just show up more consistently;its a cakewalk combined with an incapable AI. I didnt encounter any lag so there is that. The big problem here is the game wins on autopilot;the players massive fleet, excellent fortifications with walled in siege onagers, big resources, and easily chokepoints with a bridge, and a hopeless AI all combine for a snoozefest.

Balance 1

Unfortunately despite the enemies massive army, the game pretty much wins itself. The players nearly 600 units are of a high quality, and on water the massive fireship armada can triumph over the enemy fleet, while in land the player has massive fortifications with siege onagers placed very conveniently that deal with any enemies who do manage to reach the city;and the enemies hundreds of heavy camels are one of the least intimidating units in the game. In addition to having a super city, there is massive resources available so the player could switch into B&D and win that way;the AI B&D is a cramped, hopeless base that the AI cannot utilize.

Creativity 2

Its a decent first attempt at making an epic siege scenario but the execution needs to be improved with regards to AI primarily;these missions need to be built from the ground up with AI needs in mind to work. There isn't much complexity beyond the thousands of starting units placed.

Map Design 2

Close to a random map in quality, the only real difference is the large amount of gaia grasses used for detailing. The great city is very poor with huge blocks of buildings with some road1 paths.

Story\Objectives 2

There was some objectives, hints, and scouts report but of such a meager character they are only sufficient to avoid the minimum rating.

Final thoughts:Search for "siege" and pick one of the higher rated results instead.
